Rooms are relatively small but clean and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A cozy and welcoming place overall.

Going on a trip to Cappadocia, we decided to stay overnight in the ancient city of Konya on the first day. The Araf hotel was chosen because of its convenient location in the historic district and the proximity of the main attractions, as well as due to the availability of its own parking. But that wasn't the only thing he was wonderful about. I say right away, these 5 stars are for the brightest authenticity, for the work of the wonderful staff and for the atmosphere. The hotel is very small, like a macro hotel, but very cozy. They were politely greeted at the entrance, sorted out everything with very weak English, and went to the room. The room is cozy, fabulous, as if, again, sooo small. There was a bathroom in what we thought was a closet with mirrored doors. All supplies are in place and of decent quality. Despite the proximity of the mosque, the muezzin's songs did not bother us. For breakfast there was meze, scrambled eggs and tea. Perfect. A 2-minute walk from the hotel takes you to a very beautiful area with attractions, cafes for every taste, souvenir shops, and a very decent currency exchange that operates on weekends and even on holidays. Parking is small and not immediately available, but it really is. If you're driving (it's strange without a car), then you just drive right down the street, a little further from the Araf otel sign, see the Oto park sign on the left, in the micro-entrance, exhale and turn there, tell which hotel and you'll be lucky. What is pleasant is that they escorted us according to the Turkish tradition, pouring water after us... We later found out that it was sincere and probably even helped in a couple of situations. In general, the hotel is wonderful, the staff at the reception and in the kitchen are wonderful. Recommend. But, you're right, don't expect the classic five stars, look at the booking photo and compare it with my review, you'll get an idea of what's what. It has 5 stars precisely for the atmosphere and authenticity. The place itself, Konya, is not about the classic coastal five stars)
