The capital's Arbat appeared in 2017 on the eve of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017. The promenade begins approximately from the intersection of A.Mambetov and Bukharbai Batyr streets and ends at the monument to Khan Kenesary, located on the embankment of the Yesil River. The length of the Arbat cannot be compared with similar pedestrian streets, for example, in Almaty and Petropavlovsk. The length of the Arbat in Astana is less than 500–hundred meters. It is located along Azerbaijan Mambetova Street, or rather a small segment of it. Perhaps it did not happen by chance, because the street where different types of art joined together was named in memory of the Azerbaijani cultural figure Madievich Mambetov. He was a Soviet and Kazakh director, teacher. Arbat in Astana A place of talents The idea of creating the Arbat belongs to the public figure Arai Ordabayeva. The woman has been engaged in soap making for many years and knows local craftsmen and artisans. Like them, Arai often faced the problem of having nowhere to exhibit her work. Renting a place in a store or in a large shopping center is too expensive for them. And spontaneous trading on the street is prohibited. Therefore, Arai began to think about the fact that the city needs its own Arbat. Appeals to city authorities, posts on social networks. To achieve the appearance of Arbat, Arai Ordabayeva and her like-minded people had to try. It took several years. Perhaps the upcoming international exhibition EXPO-2017 was the last impetus to the long-awaited dream of the capital's musicians and masters. The city authorities expected that many tourists would come to Astana, and the Arbat would become another attraction. Old town, old center The place for the Arbat was chosen very well. This is the old town, the old center, there are many historical and cultural places nearby, such as, for example, merchant Matvey Kubrin's Trading House and Vasily Kubrin's Estate. In addition, it has always been crowded here, because the street leads to the embankment and further to Central Park. There are more than ten trade pavilions on the Arbat, created in the form of a yurt. They sell jewelry, books, handmade products, etc. There are also places for street musicians, dancers and artists. It's always crowded around them. The city administration imposes certain requirements on artists so that they can all show their talents without creating chaos and without interfering with each other. Over the years of the Arbat's existence, musicians have gained loyal listeners, among whom there are many foreigners living in Astana. After all, the culture of street singing abroad is well developed and very much appreciated. What will surprise Arbat? At the beginning of the Arbat, the attention of vacationers is attracted by a large metal throne – a copy of the throne from the famous TV series "Game of Thrones". It looks very majestic, so there are always a lot of people who want to be photographed here. A little further away, on the left, you can take memorable pictures with the members of the legendary band "The Beatles". The figures of the singers are set in full height. Therefore, for fans of the Liverpool four, the metropolitan Arbat is a must-visit. Fh An interesting installation in the form of benches is installed on the Arbat. It consists of large letters, which form the name of the capital of Kazakhstan – Astana. There is also an unusual shop called "Reconciliation Bench". Her seat is positioned at an angle so that two sitting people seem to shift to the middle of the bench closer to each other. Everything for people The community group that oversees events on the pedestrian street comes up with something new every year. For example, in 2018, free karaoke was opened here. It started working after 21:00. Anyone could perform the song, for this it was necessary to take a queue, which was usually considerable. In addition, an open-air cinema for everyone appeared on the Arbat. Movies are shown in the evening. Creativity is everywhere Festivals, fairs, contests, as well as various courses and master classes for children are regularly held on the Arbat. Representatives of different ethnic groups celebrate their holidays here, introduce citizens to their culture and treat them to dishes of national cuisine. In the future, they want to make the Arbat indoor, so that life boils here not only in the warm season, but also in winter. But these are just plans. Прогулочная зона, наполненная своим собственным колоритом, энергетикой, наверное, одна из любимых улиц города для прогулок . Музыканты облюбовали эту площадку для демонстрации своего мастерства. Огромное количество арт- объектов: стилизованные под музыкальные инструменты уличные фонари, четверка Битлз, бутики ремесленников - авторов национальной одежды. Улица выложена 3D тротуарной плиткой. Завершается улица на набережной реки Ишим памятником хану Кенесары.
