An amazing place! Outwardly, he is very unusual, of rare spiritual content.

Beautiful cathedral! A bright representative of the Vilna Baroque style! It's majestic inside, but cozy at the same time! An island of European architecture in a city with predominantly socialist buildings!

Cathedral of St. Michael the Archangel. It was built in 1760-78 as a church and monastery of the Bernardines at the expense of Marshal Kazimir Oskerko of Mozyr. The crypt of the church became the family tomb of the Oskerkov family. After the suppression of the national liberation uprising of 1830-31, the Russian authorities liquidated the monastery and closed the church. The buildings house a hospital and administrative offices. In the early 1860s, the Russian Emperor Alexander II personally handed over the building to the Orthodox Church. On September 5, 1865, the church was consecrated. In the 1870s, it received the status of a cathedral. In the 1930s, the Soviet authorities closed the church and placed the NKVD prison in it. Since 1992, the cathedral has become the center of the revived diocese of Turov. Since 2012, the only memorial in Belarus to the victims of Stalin's repressions has been located in the former crypt.
