The Archbishop's Palace at Plaza Mayor is the residence of the Archbishop of Lima and the headquarters of the Archdiocese of Lima. The construction of the first large church in the city began in 1535. The Holy See established the Catholic Diocese of Lima in 1541 by a bull of Pope Paul 3. In 1547, the diocese was elevated by the Pope to the dignity of a metropolitan archdiocese. The patron saint of Lima and Peru in general is Rosa de Lima.

It's an interesting building that you can spend a lot of time looking at the wood and stone carvings on its facade. It is located next to the Cathedral.
