A modern, convenient train station. The room is large, there is a minimarket, shops, lots of places, the staff are polite. The platform is very comfortable, clean and there is no need to walk a kilometer to the train. But there is little sitting in the waiting room. And so it's generally cool.

However, you can not buy a SIM card here if you suddenly arrive late in the evening or early in the morning, it is better to see in advance if there are cellular communication salons near your place of residence. You can take a taxi at the airport, but it will be around 3-5000 depending on the destination. In buses, payment is made only by cards.

It's not a convenient train station, it's not clear where I went or where I need to go. There are no clear signs. We got into the elevator and couldn't figure out which button to press to go outside. There weren't even any people who would give a hint. All the residents of Almaty got into the elevator and asked each other how to get out. I called a taxi, but it stopped very far away, it was winter and it was hard to roll my bags because of the lack of snow on the territory. The children are tired of walking far in the snow. The train station is super. Starting from the entrance, there are employees who are polite and indicate the route where and how to go. Everything in the departure hall is very clear and civilized. There are good food playgrounds, there is an area for entertaining children and, which is very impressive.....washing machines with dryers (probably provided in case of a long wait). The scoreboard shows the train schedules and which way out. The exit to the trains is via an escalator on two sides and there are employees who tell you which side is better to go to, depending on the number of the car. The platform is all under the roof, very super.
