Overpriced, overhyped. Went there for lunch, the food was meh: asked the waiter specifically if the green salad has arugula in it, they confirmed it did, and when it came to the table - it didn’t. The chicken with potatoes was around 5-6k tenge - the meat was pretty dry, overall an underwhelming meal. Drinks were okay, nothing special. Ended up going to Vanilla cafe next door for tea and dessert. 2 stars for the interior and the tableware.

I really like the place for its interior and location. I get aesthetic pleasure 🥰 As for the kitchen: A delicious breakfast for lovers of standard dishes, but with a twist. For example, sausages and mashed potatoes. They are served in a pleasant sauce, which adds a zest to the dish. Or scramble with eel. It also tastes quite interesting. But the portion wasn't enough for me. Croissant hot dog is also delicious. But it's not very satisfying for breakfast, but it has a lot of calories. Cheesecakes are delicious Delicious smoothies, but the portions are just small. The tortillas with truffle and parmesan cheese are very tasty. I've tried 70% of the menu. Everything was delicious. Everything is very beautiful - the interior, the dishes, BUT a lot of "buts": 1. The waiter didn't come for 10 minutes. 2. Coffee and water were carried for about 20 minutes or even more. Cappuccino was brought in take away plastic cups because the cups ran out))) at 12 a.m. 3. The food doesn't wow at all. The dishes are frankly tasteless - poached eggs in Greek yogurt: mustard kills all the flavor, one of the two eggs was soft-boiled instead of poached. There was no salt or pepper - signature Astra breakfast. The usual breakfast is a designer, nothing branded was found. I've also run out of salmon as an additional supplement. Astra is a small piece of Paris in Almaty. I was absolutely delighted! The cozy atmosphere, stylish interior and pleasant music create a great mood from the very first minutes. I would like to mention the service separately — attentive and fast. The kitchen is simply magnificent! The dishes are not only delicious, but also beautifully served. Yesterday I visited the new ABR establishment. As always, it immediately occurred to me that the bar should be high, because the chef himself set this level. Special attention should be paid to tartare with hash browns (it's sooooo delicious), then pate (the texture is just thin silk) and of course dessert Golden Dessert (the name speaks for itself, only the layer of gold was already very chewy). I forgot about the cocktail card - it's better to come and find out for yourself, otherwise there will be no WOW effect))))
