On the one hand, both Istiklal and Taksim are within walking distance. But on the other hand, this same proximity generates noise until the morning. It's cramped, uncomfortable enough, but for a couple of nights and without excessive demands, it's fine. The staff was friendly, their English was a bit difficult, but their native Kazakh helped out.
