It was okay, but nothing more. Compared to all other guesthouses I have been to in Central Asia it was a lowlight. The house itself was clean and good enough for a night, but it wasn't the welcoming atmosphere and good food we got used to during our stays in guesthouses and hotels in Central Asia. So it's not terrible, but you can certainly have better places for the same money.

If you want to visit the gorgeous Altyn-Emel National Park (and it's strange not to want to), then you have a relatively modest choice of places to stay overnight, and you need to be mentally prepared. The institution copes with its main function (to spend the night, take a shower), but no more (there is no pleasant cozy atmosphere here), in general, I did not need more, however, for the sake of objectivity (not even to reproach the owners, but simply to avoid the disappointment of new customers), I note that the rooms are very modest and cramped, but clean enough. I don't like the food very much (something like a hospital or kindergarten), but I can eat (no one from the company was poisoned), even if without pleasure (the only time in 2 weeks in Kazakhstan).
