We were in Abkhazia for the first time. Before the trip, I reread a lot of information about the country and the boarding house, I clearly understood that we were not going to Dubai. We needed the sea, rest, nature, and food. We got it all. We lived in the main building, on the 8th floor, overlooking the sea. The first evening there was a slight smell from the shower, apparently the room had been idle for some time before us (I did not see the full occupancy of the boarding house, so I assume). Then everything was washed/spilled by our bathing and became normal. The plumbing, as it was written on the boarding house's VK page in the main building, is all new and of decent quality. The shower room is spacious, there is a rain shower. In the mornings, since I wake up early, I had to wait for the water to drain to get hot, but that wasn't critical either. For those who are determined to rest, some small things are not fatal. Everything in the room worked fine, the Wi-Fi was catching, there were 2 points, one catches poorly, I switch to the second. Special thanks to the staff of the power supply unit. I dare say that I cook well, and I can appreciate the quality of the food. Some of the dishes were simple, but it wasn't a restaurant, there were so many dishes that even if you didn't like something, take another one. We haven't even been able to try everything in 8 full days. Baking for 24 meals was not repeated even once (each meal has 3 dishes ), i.e. 72 options. There was plenty of meat:beef, pork, chicken, liver. Fish:pink salmon, mackerel, pollock. There are plenty of salads, both meat and vegetables. They took away wonderful memories and big bellies))). The sea is very clean. The steps to the beach were well-read and ready. I counted it. There are 64 steps in total. The beer is of high quality-similar to the Zhiguli boiler, I declare authoritatively as a resident of Samara with the Zhiguli brewery. The ice cream is simple but very tasty. Mattresses are hard, and that's what makes them great. Sleeping is comfortable and healthy. The girls at the reception responded clearly and quickly to any request. Room cleaning is a woman like a mother, the most pleasant experience.There is a pharmacy in the lobby, and vacationers from everywhere were asking for some kind of needs (tourists from the village and the private sector asked us how to get through). The pharmacist will consult and treat you. In general, people in Abkhazia (especially the older generation) are simple, sincere and sincere. And we've seen the same kind of youth. With what message you go, that's how you'll spend your vacation. Nature, mountains, mountain rivers are a delight. Of course, the republic has a lot to grow and strive for, but this can be said about any region. We are happy with our vacation, we miss you, we will definitely come back.

We had a rest at the boarding house in July 2025. Boarding house - there is a boarding house, there are few young people, quiet and peaceful rest. In general, the age of vacationers is mostly 50+ Let's go through all the points: 1. Animation The children's animation was good, my daughter liked it, there were different programs every day, and master classes in the afternoon (either painting on stones, making bracelets, or board games). In the evening, watching cartoons, children's disco. There was a foam party on the beach once in the afternoon))) We liked it, both adults and children swam) It's a bit boring for adult animation, in the evening they play the same repertoire of songs until 23:00 (disco for those over 50+). During the day, it's good that there is water aerobics in the pool, my husband would like to play water polo, but alas.. We asked to organize a water polo somehow, but the animators said that the pool was not provided, although later I read in the reviews that they introduced water polo. In general, the animation is designed to meet your demand (since this is a boarding house, and the entertainment is appropriate). Then I also read that there was a disco on the beach, it's good that the wishes of the guests were taken into account, because young families with children also come. 2. Transfer - we arrived at Adler railway station early in the morning, somewhere around 4-5 in the morning. The transfer picked us up at about 6-half past 7 in the morning. First they take you to the border, then you need to cross the border on your own in the heat with suitcases, but plus that there is a man driving there who will direct you, the queue will take over. Then you will be seated in a minibus, and you will be taken to Bagripsh. The pension is located near the border, the road is close. 3. For early check-in, you need to pay 1,500 rubles per person, we were checked in around 10:00. In general, it's worth it, because you can immediately enjoy the benefits of the boarding house, and everyone is tired after the trip. 4. The sea The sea is nice and clean. We took aquashoos with us, they saved us, because there are stones and it's a bit painful to go in without them. 5. Swimming pools We only swam in 1 pool (which is large), my daughter loves our pools, so we can say we didn't get out of it. 6. Nutrition The food is decent, we liked it. Meat, side dishes, soups, pastries (delicious by the way, I usually don't like baking on vacation, but it's delicious and airy here). The donuts are delicious, which are baked in the bar. There is also ice cream in cups (normal, creamy). There is a bar on the beach (alcohol, compote and a couple of sandwiches). 7. Alcohol That's a big minus here. We didn't try the wine, because we love beer more, the beer tasted bad, it was sour for almost the whole vacation, at the end of 1-2 days they brought the norms, but the impression had already deteriorated, so we didn't drink it much. And keep in mind that alcohol is served for free only until 20:00, i.e. when the evening program begins, there is no alcohol anymore, but we went to local shops and bought the usual beer there (prices are normal, goat 100 rubles per bottle), and various snacks (fish, cheeses). 8. Infrastructure The territory is small but cozy, my daughter had a birthday, so we found places to take beautiful photos with greenery. We lived in an old building on the 9th floor (the view of the mountains is very fascinating), the furniture is old, but we came to relax, not to sit in the room. The air conditioner was working, and there was hot water. There are power outages in Abkhazia, but an uninterruptible power supply is installed in Bagripsha, so the shutdown is only for a couple of minutes, but you can get stuck in the elevator (we were lucky, we didn't get into such situations). By the way, there are only 2 elevators in the main building (9 storeys high), the queues are decent, once again you will not return to the room if you forgot something. My daughter was congratulated on her birthday, and a cake was presented at the children's evening animation, but I came up to arrange it in advance, and we brought candles with us. Also, at an evening disco, you can easily ask for a song to be played. We went to Gagra by bus, the bus stop is nearby, we walked along the Old Gagra, in the Seaside Park, palm trees everywhere, greenery, the eye rejoices. Of course, there is a feeling of abandonment, but I think this is the case in general throughout Abkhazia. We also walked to Stalin's dacha (it's not far away, behind the Solnechny boarding house, we were unlucky to go there, the lights were turned off and we had to walk in the heat, but there's an elevator and you can get to Solnechny), and then go up to the cottage. The view is certainly fascinating. In general, we enjoyed the rest (well, we are not particularly picky tourists, we go on vacation, and do not pay attention to the little things, at the same time, we understood that Abkhazia is not Turkey and Egypt). We were in Abkhazia for the first time, this year we also considered Abkhazia at first, but we wanted something more modern, but we didn't find such options, at a normal price, Bagripsh also went up in price (last year a ticket for three cost about 100 thousand, this year 170 thousand, without a flight, we got there by train). Therefore, we decided that it would be better to overpay and fly to Turkey.
