Baohong Hotel Sanya 4* in my opinion is not a bad hotel, slightly pompous! It is located in Dadonghai district. Dadonghai Bay is located between Sanya Bay and Yalong Bay (or Yalongwan). We lived on the 11th floor. The location of the hotel is convenient, relative to the sea and relative to all kinds of shops and cafes, as well as near the hotel there are bus stops in the direction of another bay of Xiaodonghai, as well as in the direction ofSanya. The only drawback is that if you fly with Chinese airlines like us, which by the way we really liked, then the plane arrives in Haikou and the transfer from this city to Sanya by a transit bus takes almost 4.5 hours, you can actually order a taxi directly from the tour operator, which we did, the taxi is a great comfortable The car took 3 hours to get to the hotel, and we drove 4.5 hours back from the hotel to the Airport! Check-in takes place around 12:00 p.m., the room is not very large, a cot with a mattress was provided for the third person, in principle it is enough, the room has a TV, a mini fridge, an electric kettle, tea bags, drinking water, glasses, cups, in the bathroom: every day they put combs, toothbrushes with a mini paste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hairdryer, towels, toilet paper. Cleaning and towel change every day. Breakfast was included, the choice is large, but for our taste buds, not everything is suitable, you can definitely choose, there are many things you can eat and try, you definitely won't stay hungry. The pool is located across the street, at another building, a magnificent pool in my opinion, clean, in a green area, there are not many sun beds. There are many cafes near the hotel, prices vary, but basically everything is the same everywhere, you can also choose according to taste and purse. We ate at Maxim's cafe, not bad, they give us a compliment in the form of fruits and a handful of peanuts, the prices in the cafe are adequate, the drinks are a little more expensive than in stores, which was very pleasing, the portions were large, they took mostly noodles-delicious. There is an attraction not far from the hotel: The park: The deer turned its head, I recommend going from 16.00, after 18:00 you can see the whole island, watch the sunset, the backlight turns on in the evening and it becomes very beautiful. There is a bus stop behind the hotel. The beach and the sea are about a 10-minute walk away, Dadonghai Bay was certainly disappointing, we went to it exactly once and went to other bays: Dadonghai organized a swimming pool in the sea, which is fenced off with buoys with ropes, for which it is absolutely forbidden to swim, if you suddenly dive behind this rope, the rescuers start yelling into a megaphone. It's like you've broken all the laws, and besides, they might call the police! At the time of our visit (04.09-14.09), one such pool was open, for every square meter, there were so many people that it was not possible to swim, and they began to go to the neighboring Xiaodonghai beach, there is just a SEA). The same can be said about Dadonghai: there are few places in the shade. I would like to say separately: there are many different offers about excursions near the hotel, but we used the services of YURI GAGARIN, in general, we liked everything, Yuri, as he called himself, who helped us, did everything to make it interesting for my husband and son to go diving, and after diving we borrowed scooters from him for trips to Yalong Bay- he gave us discounts.

It was very hot during the day, I was on the beach from 10.00 to 12.00 so as not to get burned. I didn't really like the food in cafes and restaurants. I was on an excursion to Yanoda Park. The only thing that made an impression was the ride on the cable car and the flight over the jungle, everything else is a C. There are a lot of excursions offered, but they are expensive and time-consuming. You can bring sweets, fruits, dried coconut milk. The connection is good everywhere, if a VPN is connected and there is a Chinese SIM card or router (you can rent it for 150 baht + 50 baht deposit). The hotel has Wi-Fi. Accordingly, breakfast takes place in the main building, you need to cross the road, walk for 1-2 minutes. There are many Russian-speaking tourists in the hotel. There is a Russian-speaking guide. They don't know Russian or English at the reception, only through a translator on the phone, but they settled in without any problems. We booked a Deluxe room, we were given on the last 15th floor. The view is beautiful. Sockets are nonsense, it is advisable to have at least 1 adapter. Soap is not enough, not enough, I had to buy liquid. The shower and toilet can be said to be large. Towels are just for two, and a couple of days later they brought another one. But they change it every day. The audibility is excellent, you can clearly hear the slamming of the doors in the neighboring rooms. The beds are hard. The furniture is tired. The Wi-Fi is not moving, the cart, the watsap are almost not working. The room is huge, there is enough space. 2 air conditioners. The only big disadvantage is the lack of places to dry clothes, they were placed wherever they could, and since there are no balconies, the clothes dried for a long time. If this disadvantage is significant for you, then you can choose the second building of Baohong, it is across the street, there are balconies and a swimming pool. It will be a pleasure to return to Baohong once again!

In general, the hotel is located on the 2nd line from the sea, it takes about 5-7 minutes to walk to it. We lived in an older building, it has no balconies. We dried everything in the bathroom - there is a rope stretched there. Why I took one star: we bought a deluxe room with two rooms, but arrived the night before check-in and bought a room for 1 night. We were given a one-room standard room. It was so smelly, smoky... and the impression of the hotel immediately deteriorated a little. In the afternoon we were checked into our room, it no longer smelled like anything, clean and tidy. Our room had two toilets: one just with a sink, the other with a bathtub and shower, with two 2-bedroom beds and 2 TVs. The room has a split system that always works, regardless of whether a card is inserted or not (you always come to a cool room!). They cleaned every day, towels and bed linen were changed every day. In the room there are bathrobes and slippers (rubber, I sometimes went to the beach in them); shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, toothbrushes and pastes, combs (everything was always in abundance); hair dryer of course). Their sockets are not the same as ours (but our wires fit 😀) The breakfasts are normal: eggs, noodles, vegetables, sweet bread for dessert (considering that I did not really like Chinese food, then after breakfast I was full). The hotel is not new, but it looks solid. I recommend staying there, but preferably in a deluxe room. Nearby there is a bus stop, a 24-hour mini-market, various cafes and restaurants, fruit stalls (fruits are cleaned and cut there).

One of the disadvantages is that there are cockroaches in the hotel, but I saw them only in the hallway, they were not in the room. At first glance, the breakfasts seem to be varied with a large selection, but after a few days you realize that of all the variety you can only eat eggs with bacon. You can eat watermelon and melon from fruits. Another disadvantage is the lifeguards on the beach, who at the slightest waves in the sea will not let you go beyond the buoys (which are knee-deep), and if you decide to ignore them, then a siren will play on the entire beach and a lifeguard will climb after you, blowing his favorite whistle in parallel. Tip: If you are tired of caring lifeguards with whistles, then I advise you to go to the beach of the Intercontinental hotel, there are lifeguards there, but they sleep all the time, so no one will disturb you.

The food is standard for Chinese hotels of this level - you will not stay hungry. They even try to make European dishes and a children's table :) There's popcorn and cherry tomatoes in there. The location is almost in the very center of life. Everything is nearby - fruits, supermarket, pineapple shopping center 10-15 minutes walk. In general, I would have chosen it a second time, but with the caveat that we lived in a family room.

The standard room is small, although the hotel is not old, but the rooms are already in need of repair, they must have been cleaned. The window opens 30 centimeters to the side, again for safety reasons, so that no one falls out. China is about security everywhere. There are no balconies in the hotel. If you need better rooms, then take the deluxe rooms right away, they are located on the upper floors and they have better repairs. The room is cleaned every day, it is always clean, linen and towels are excellent, white light bathrobes, slippers in the form of rubber slates (reusable). There are beach towels in the bedside table under the TV, they are changed often. The safe is free in the room. Wi-Fi is free in the room. There are outdoor scales (the Chinese love sports and take care of their health). There are several Russian channels on TV. There is a refrigerator. An iron and ironing board are brought to the room upon request. Hair dryer. There are jars of gel and shampoo, toothbrushes and combs in the bathroom. Across the street in the second building of the hotel there is a Phoenix medical center (we didn't like it, but people go) and an outdoor swimming pool where you can swim during the day. You can ask for an iron at the reception, they brought it to our room right away, they didn't take the money. Do not forget that the deposit for the room is $ 100, they will give you your bill at the check-out. Our tour included only breakfasts, which were very dense, all kinds of dishes, mostly local cuisine, everything was delicious enough! It is not possible to stay hungry. Our hotel guide was not very helpful in solving incoming issues, many thanks to the guides from other tour operators, well done guys! The location of the hotel is very convenient, close to all the lacations of the center, the beach, as well as public transport stops.
