We were with our family in August 2024. I would like to note right away that you should not expect anything out of the ordinary from the restaurant. In Russia, this is the level of a small cafe. When we arrived at barracuda, we were offered two sets to choose from for $35 and $45. The difference is in the hot dish. For 35 a steak of red fish, for 45 a lobster rug. First, a cold appetizer of octopus tentacles, squid, shrimp and red salted fish was served. They also have their own idea of red fish). It is very different from the concept of Russian salmon. I would recommend more beer, well, not wine.
In general, seafood appetizer for 3. (Again, the assessment is based on Russian standards. Where, far from the sea, you can eat much better food. And here, I'm sorry, is still the seashore.
Next, they brought us seafood soup. The soup is delicious. Inside there are fish, squid, shrimp and crab. The broth is covered with cream. The score is 4, because the shrimp is in the shell. That is, you will have to pull it out of the soup and get your hands dirty. It's not thought out.
Next, a hot dish was brought. A small lobster rug, 3 pieces of langoustines and a small crab. Rating 3. The lobster is over-dried. langoustines are bland. (again, by Russian standards, perhaps this is the norm for the Egyptians). The second hot dish is a grilled red fish steak and also 3 pieces of fresh langoustines. Rating 4. As strange as it may sound, fish is better than lobster. All this was washed down with local Riesling (nothing by the way). Dessert was served at the end. Dessert is like in the dining room at the hotel. The only score of 5 is to the waiter. The guy was very attentive and tried to serve well. To summarize. The two of us ate for $80. The price does not match the quality.

Everything was very tasty! The food was different from the food served in the main restaurant of the hotel on a daily basis! Pizza, pasta, soup, risotto- on top! We didn't get to dessert because we had already eaten too much)! Thanks!

An iconic restaurant for guests of Nubian Island and Nubian Village hotels, approximately on the border of the hotels. Delicious, we recommend it :)
