Nice hotel! ❤ It is located in Fatih, Sultanahmet district, 5-10 minutes walk to the main attractions (Sultanahmet, Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, etc.). There is also an embankment nearby where you can walk. The hotel itself is in the Ottoman style, the rooms are clean and cozy. There is everything you need. For the price, this is a very inexpensive hotel, and considering the location and the fact that good breakfasts are included, it's generally a gift! The staff is polite and always helps, prompts if necessary. Tip - take a room the higher the floor, the better. There are balconies and the view is normal, do not take it at the very bottom, although it is cheaper there, but it is better to pay a little extra, it's more comfortable. I liked everything, we stayed there in May 2024. I recommend the Basileus hotel in Istanbul.

To begin with, the cons: plumbing was damaged, and breakfast was missing during the epidemic. And that's it. The rest of the advantages: the attitude of the owner is excellent, he tried to please in everything, and compliments and small gifts, help with cafes, with recreation areas, with sights, it turns out that the very old church of Bacchus (or little Hagia Sophia) is nearby. Even with breakfast, the issue was resolved by agreeing with another hotelier. And the room is spacious, very nicely decorated in honor of our anniversary. I recommend it solely out of cordiality. There are other attractions within walking distance, only the roof terrace is missing.
