The exterior of the basilica is good, and despite its relatively young age, it has become one of the business cards of Paris. The mountain with the basilica lit up in "Amelie", it is loved by tourists and besieged by crowds. But this movement is somehow perceived normally. Those wishing to visit the Basilica need comfortable shoes: hiking trails usually lead through steep stairs. But there is also a more gentle - and longer - option, and even bus number 40, which comes very close to the basilica, squeezing through the narrow crowded streets of Montmartre. It's also a decent sight from the inside. The queue is long, but it's moving fast. There are a lot of souvenir shops, artists with paintings and cafes with crepes around

A huge beautiful cathedral on a hill in the Montmartre area. At the entrance to the cathedral, we bought and closed a small lock for luck. There is a beautiful view of Paris from the steps of the cathedral. Inside, all visitors walk in a circle, inspecting the architecture. It is very beautiful and monumental.

The Cathedral of the Sacred Heart.
Which is visible from half of Paris.
Located on the top of Montmartre hill (oh, how much in this word, for the heart of the Russian merged - how much it echoed! ..)
It is worth a visit.
To suit the mood.
That's how it is - a typical Catholic cathedral.
It is possible to limit yourself to the views from the steps.
But inside it is beautiful: light, a beautiful central nave and countless side walls with their saints and their atmosphere.
If you get there at sunset, God willing: stained glass windows and cartoons will be shown on white marble columns.
We were lucky: it was Orthodox Easter and, apparently, in honor of the feast of the Holy Resurrection of the Lord, the sun showed us the cathedral in all its splendor
