Very small, but the price is also small, so it's all good... Love you Batumi 😍

During a tour of Batumi, the guide was asked about the aquarium, and he advised against visiting it. But we went anyway. Children are interested in fish, and besides, I wanted to make up my own mind. It was Sunday, and we thought there would be fewer visitors closer to closing time. We arrived at 4:45 p.m. The aquarium is open until 5:30 p.m. It has no days off, but there is a lunch break from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. We entered the aquarium from Rustaveli Avenue, but you can also get in from the Park on May 6. There is a pond with beautiful fish at the entrance. The aquarium is located on the same territory as the dolphinarium. And it turned out that tickets to the aquarium are sold at the box office of the dolphinarium. We saw a crowd at the dolphinarium, we didn't want to stand in line, but it turned out that these were visitors to a dolphin show, and there was no one at the box office. Tickets cost GEL 5. They paid GEL 20 for two adults and two children. The aquarium building itself is already old, it was built under the USSR in the 1970s, and has the status of a cultural heritage. But it is clearly in need of repair, it is shabby in places. The mayor's office announced a tender for the renovation of the building, but there were no takers. Currently, only one aquarium room is fully operational. There are about 100 fish in it. There are also exotic fish, such as piranhas and local Black Sea fish. All aquariums are signed. The inscriptions are in Georgian, Russian and English. Unfortunately, apart from the name of the fish, there is no other information. The hall has two levels with aquariums. There are huge piranhas at the entrance. I liked the amazing color combination of the little fish. Their names are difficult to remember. In general, there are not so many fish. A small room. The twilight. When there are a lot of visitors and their flow is not regulated, it is difficult to see anything clearly. We were alone for the first 5 minutes, and then a large group of elementary school students came, and it became crowded. Our children, already teenagers, were less interested in such a format with a minimum of information than small children. We stayed for a maximum of 20 minutes, that was enough for everyone. This short walk for a relatively small price left a mixed impression.
