The monument to Baidibek (also known as "Alpamys Baidibek") is located in the Zhambyl region of Kazakhstan. This monument was erected in honor of Baidibek Baysynov, the Kazakh Biy national hero and ashug (national poet).
Baidibek Baisynov was born in 1623 in the ancestral settlement of Akhna, located in the Shu district. He was killed in a battle with the Kalmyks in 1681. Baidibek is one of the most revered heroes in Kazakhstan, his legendary strength and valor are transmitted in many folk songs.
The monument to Baidibek was erected in 1976 and became a symbol of the heroic past of Kazakhstan. The monument itself is a statue of Baidibek, towering at a height of about 10 meters. The sculptor of the monument is Mukhtar Mubarakov.
The Baidibek monument has become a popular destination for tourists and residents of the region, attracting attention with its majestic architecture and historical significance.
