1. This sculpture shows a circle of dancers celebrating Berikaoba - an ancient Georgian spring festival. 2. The figures wear masks and costumes, just like in real Berikaoba performances. 3. It’s located near the Anchiskhati Church and Gabriadze Theater, easy to find while walking in Old Tbilisi. 4. The dancers look happy and wild, showing the spirit of old village celebrations. 5. It’s made of bronze and full of movement - you can feel the energy! 6. Great spot for photos, especially if you love folk traditions or street art. 7. Berikaoba comes from pagan times and celebrates spring, fertility, and fun. 8. The sculpture was made to honor this tradition and keep it alive in the city. 9. It’s a reminder of Georgia’s deep cultural roots and playful spirit. 10. Recommended for tourists, families, and anyone who enjoys discovering hidden stories. 🗓️ When: Berikaoba is celebrated in spring, often around March 17 👤 Who Made It: The sculpture was created to honor Berikaoba, but the artist’s name is not publicly listed 1.

It seems as if the noisy procession of the Berikaoba Folk Theater froze for a moment, turning into stone to stay with the city forever. These ghostly, elongated figures in masks are not just a sculpture. This is the spirit of old Georgia, its gaiety and rebellion, cast in bronze. Berikaoba is when the mask hides not the face, but the whole soul of the people... cheerful, hospitable. Every time I pass by, I want to get up with them and spin them around, forgetting about my worries for a moment.

🇬🇪 👥 So, I didn't get it.: Are we going to take pictures of every sculpture and monument now? Well, no, it's a one-time event - I liked this funny group. Dancing cheerfully) Online reference: The Berikaoba sculpture Group in Tbilisi is a very lively and emotional bronze composition depicting an ancient Georgian folk festival -masquerade. Berikaoba is a pre—Christian pagan celebration of fertility, rebirth and the end of winter, which later developed into an improvisational street mask theater. There is one empty seat in the dance floor. The empty space was specially left by the author so that anyone could stand in a circle and take a souvenir photo surrounded by "dancing Georgians."
