Every tourist who has visited Istanbul has seen the magnificent Dolmabahce Palace complex. But not everyone knows that opposite, on the Asian shore of the Bosphorus, is the almost equally beautiful Beylerbeyi Palace, the summer residence of the Turkish sultans, also built in the European style and surrounded by a beautiful park with a promenade. Unfortunately, you can't take pictures inside, so you'll have to take my word for the splendor of the interiors. And to make sure, you need to cross the Bosphorus to the Uskyudar pier and then walk three kilometers along a pretty street along the strait. The landmark is the Bosphorus Bridge, with the palace complex right behind it.

The palace is located on the Asian side, it's not a problem to get there, very beautiful views open from the palace grounds to the Bosphorus and the bridge. There is no audio guide , not all the halls are open to the public , it smells old inside , there is a coffee shop with delicious desserts and a free , very clean toilet in the garden , it's better to go in the morning while there are no people .

It's a very beautiful place.
Incredible view of the Bosphorus from the embankment.
There are sooooo many seals in the territory, which is good news.
We took a ticket inside for 400 lire, now it's more expensive.
An audio guide was taken at the entrance, and a passport was left as a deposit.
It's interesting to listen, the guide plays automatically, each exposure has its own number, and starts talking as he approaches.
You can't touch or photograph the inside!

A good place to visit. There is an audio guide in 10 languages. A small palace. But we like it. We've been there at least 5 times. There is a parking lot nearby. Access to the sea. A cafe where you can sit, drink coffee or have a snack. I recommend it!

A pleasant courtyard in front of the palace. Exit to the coast through the majestic gate. The palace itself is small, the interiors are interesting, but a little dusty. You can't take pictures. A big plus: inexpensive.

The stunning summer residence of the sultans, beautiful outside and incredible inside (it's a pity it's forbidden to rent the palace, all the rooms are wonderfully restored)!

A great park around the palace. There is access to the sea. There is a great view of the bridge over the Bosphorus from the sea. The palace building itself is partially under reconstruction. There is a cafe on the territory of the park. There is a gift shop at the exit from the palace grounds.

A beautiful place to visit and immerse yourself in Turkish culture and history. The interior and historical objects were, fortunately, preserved. You can't take pictures inside. But on the other hand, you can take very beautiful photos on the territory of the palace and on the embankment.

Half of the courtyard is now covered, the facade is being reconstructed from the outside. Admission costs 25 lire per person. Considering the reconstruction and the fact that the upper garden is completely closed, it is very expensive. It is unclear why the price has been raised since the summer. It is very difficult to take a picture at the first gate without people. But here is the problem of world society (since there were representatives of many countries), no one cares about others. They go out the gate and take pictures of the bridge and the Bosphorus at once, there is no way to go two meters along the embankment to the left. Although they see that someone is constantly taking photos with the gate. And they pass at the speed of a sick turtle.
We were driving because of the photo with the gate and the garden. Well, at least part of it was a success.

It is beautiful, luxurious, it seems that the palace floats very gracefully along the Bosphorus))). The interior is very luxurious, you can buy a remote guide where you can tell in some detail what you see. Carpets, furniture, dishes, personal belongings. The exposition in the rooms of the Sultan, the Sultan's mother and his wives is carefully preserved.

It is definitely worth visiting the palace. A combination of the Crimean palaces and the Catherine Palace. Chandeliers, walls, furniture, statues. On the shore of the Bosphorus.

We were not in the palace itself, we were only in the garden of the palace. In December 2024, 25 lire per person. The palace itself will not say whether it is 600, or 400 lire. There is a cafe, a toilet, and an embankment on the territory. Enter the first gate, and there is a promenade to the next gate and the entrance to the palace garden. Nicely

The palace is not as big as Dolmabahce, but it is no less magnificent. We didn't take the tour, we took a hop on hop off double-decker tourist bus. An audio guide is provided at the entrance to the park, secured by a document, and it is very convenient to follow the route in the palace without hurrying or jostling, but there is something to see there.

Excellent views of the Bosphorus. A gorgeous park/garden. You can have a delicious snack on the territory, the palace itself is very European, but with a traditional Turkish location of the rooms. If you do not want to explore the palace from the inside, you can buy a ticket only with access to the territory, if you get into a very tourist time - a good option not to shove in the crowd inside. There is a large excursion flow of Turkish schoolchildren.

Nicely. But - there were a lot of things that were closed. The park is half closed. You can't take photos or videos inside.
There are palaces much more beautiful, but if you look at how people used to live in Turkey, then yes
And it was the most inexpensive palace in all of Istanbul.

After Dolmabahce, it looks modest). But it's still impressive. And if you are in the Asian part of Istanbul, then it is definitely worth a visit. A visit to the museum costs 350 lire per person (March 2024). The audio guide is included in the ticket price. Magnolias from there ).
You can get from Uskudar by bus 15 or from Kadikoy by bus 14.
Back in the same way.

As always, the historical sites inherited from such ancestors are used by tourists, not us locals. Car parking is exorbitant price , entrances are exorbitant price . The food and drinks inside are quite exorbitant prices . According to the citizens of the country, they are not places to visit . In the hope that the administrators will review the fees.

The place is more modern compared to Topkapi. More has been preserved in part of the interior, so you get into the atmosphere of that time better.
Of the disadvantages: it is more difficult to get from the center on your own.

The Summer Palace of the Sultans in the 19th and 20th centuries. The palace is in the Eastern European style. But it looks more like an exhibition of furniture from that era. The audio guide tediously talks about the rooms of the palace and the materials from which the furniture is made. It's not very interesting. But there is something to see - chandeliers, ceramics, ceilings, stairs. I want to liven up the interior. A courtyard with access to the Bosporus, beautiful views, Especially charming is the modern bridge located nearby.
