There is a large library, I think you can find anything there, based on your preferences and needs. There was a very nice woman sitting on the ground floor, but otherwise the staff didn't like it very much

The disgusting attitude of the library staff towards their work. It seems that they do not understand why they are needed and what they can do and what they cannot do. The reading room is a place where there should be complete silence, in extreme cases, if it is very necessary, they speak in low voices or in a whisper, leaning towards each other so as not to disturb visitors. I explain this specially on my fingers for the staff of the reading room (especially for 2 women over 100 kg who are sitting like ladies lounging). Obviously, there are extra people in the staff, where 1 person should sit, there are 4 of them and for an hour (then I got tired, had to leave), about the weather, about outfits, about men and children, especially these more than 100kg who. I like to visit the library, I liked the Warsaw University Library, wonderful libraries in Moscow. In the Lenin Library in Moscow, there are halls for academicians, professors and associate professors (many of you have probably been there too and you have seen all this) and for all the rule (that for an ordinary student, that for an academician, that for a library employee), all conversations are only in the corridor, as a last resort very briefly and very quietly. And in Leninka, Vitebsk, some bazaar aunts gathered in the reading room, it will be more difficult to become an academician or a professor here. Otherwise, the library is wonderful, well renovated, clean everywhere, a huge collection of books. But for the reading room, my score is "1". Either remove the extra staff or keep them busy, and keep quiet in the reading room, and there will be a cool super-level library that you can be proud of. In the meantime, a very unpleasant impression from visiting such a library.

She took off one star for the behavior of the staff of the subscription hall - they do not greet readers. They don't even respond to the greeting. What kind of rudeness is this? Teach employees a few words - hello and goodbye. They obviously read the wrong books.

When, back in 1899, the Lumiers came up with "moving photographs," many signed the death sentence to theaters. But as we can see after more than 100 years, everyone is working. So are libraries. The Internet is convenient not for professionals, but for all specialists or those who dig a little deeper - only the archive and the library. And of course the educational moment. I have been taking my child to the children's department since I was 3 years old. Everything was done so smartly for children's activity - from the color scheme of the walls to the play area. We choose books that are new and interesting. They are in bookstores, but what's the point of spending money every week?
IT is a PITY that there is almost no update of children's literature in their native Belarusian language. It is very sad if a child does not understand in kindergarten that we have two languages, and Belarusian is no worse than Russian, it will be difficult to explain it later at school - "because it is necessary" will not work.
By the way, there is the same problem with children's cartoons in their native language. Fortunately, there are fans on YouTube, but obviously centrally, for example, Belarusfilm is not engaged in dubbing popular children's TV series....

Excellent library with good repair. Convenient location. A large selection of books, including world novelties. The children's department is rich not only in books, but also in toys, games, etc. Subscription - free access to the shelves.

The library is terrible, books are paid, money is accrued for delay every day, I do not advise anyone to go there. Everywhere is free, except the Lenin library!

I am very disappointed. There seem to be a lot of books, but without a reading ticket, paying money at the same time, you can't even take a photo of the necessary page. If, say, I need information for a course project, and I only need one page of the necessary information, why would I take the whole book??? It's pointless, plus it's paid! Idiocy

A normal high-quality regional library. I would consider the disadvantages that they do not want to accept completely new books as a gift. However, this is not only her problem. It's just that I had a situation at home that I inherited 2 fairly large home libraries: from my grandfather and from my great-grandfather. And I got almost 1/2 of the books in 2 copies. I decided to give it somewhere (as a gift) and was surprised to find that neither libraries nor hospitals needed books. The only hospital that takes them from me with pleasure is the regional madhouse. Every year, for the last 8 years (I have to go to bed for examination once a year), I bring them 350-400 books. Moreover, as I understand it, about 3/4 of what I brought is dragged home by the medical staff, because there are very rare publications in good quality.

The largest library in the city. There are even files of magazines and newspapers aged 100 years or more. There is a lot of scientific literature. The best thing in town for bibliophiles.

I didn't get out of this library once. I wrote my term papers there, then my thesis. And, believe me, there are things that you will not find in any Internet resource.
