My uncle, a Lithuanian citizen, died. The relatives decided to bury in Russia. Since the event happened in Belarus, it was completely unclear how to process the documents. This agency informed that it is necessary to show the passport (of the deceased) at the morgue and after receiving a death certificate, cremation and death certificate can only be issued in Lithuania. For burial in the Russian Federation, a death certificate is required – this is a mandatory document. In fact, it turned out that a notarized translation of the passport was needed at the morgue, which took a lot of time, and a death certificate was issued at the registry office of the main Department of Justice of the Minsk City Executive Committee (in the building of the combine on Olshevsky Street). There's even a sample application for a certificate on the desk in the reception area. Otherwise, it's fine. The coffin, accessories and funeral hall were recommended normally.
