We didn't devote much time to the Bobruisk fortress, and I think it would be better to visit it with a guide, since information can only be obtained on the Internet. It was built in the period 1810-1812 under the leadership of Major General of the Corps of Engineers Karl Opperman. During the Patriotic War of 1812, the Bobruisk fortress, although not seriously stormed, significantly weakened the enemy's forces by the size of the blockaded corps, which amounted to about 20 thousand people. Today, the remains of the citadel are slowly being destroyed, although some of them, judging by the photographs, are actively used, such as one of the redoubts of the incoming bridgehead, where enterprising residents of Bobruisk are conducting the quest "Fort Beaver Yard" for those who wish. A great solution, I think. It's much better than slowly turning into ruins of walls that still feel their former grandeur and power.
