A very beautiful and interesting place for lovers of history and beautiful views. Be prepared for constant climbing stairs with high and slippery steps. The ticket is not cheap — € 23 per person, but you can only pay in lira, cards are accepted. The audio guide is also plus 350 lira, but you need to leave a deposit in the form of a document for it, so we couldn't take it, which we greatly regretted. Because there are a lot of incomprehensible figurines, objects of the past that you want to learn more about, but without the English level C1-C2 on the signatures next to it, it is difficult to understand 100% what is being discussed. I strongly advise you to go there with a guide, if you find such an opportunity. The castle is very interesting and well preserved. There are many exhibitions inside with objects found from the wreckage of a ship dating back to the 14th century BC! It's incredibly interesting. But I still think that there are many moments of neglect: very slippery stones, not everywhere there are black stickers on them so as not to slip, many art objects in the form of fragments of statues, tombstones, ornaments, bas-reliefs are just lying around without signatures at every step. I think this is disrespectful to their history. Peacocks are also walking on the territory, which is also cool. In general, it is worth visiting on a not very hot day.

The impressions of visiting the Fortress are wonderful. There is such a collection of amphorae, armor, and beauties from the life of knights and queens. The expositions are very widely represented. The ticket price is 1212 tour. lir, we took the headphones, they are included in this price, you only need to leave a deposit, we left 20 dollars. The deposit was returned to us after the visit and there was a nice bonus, as a gift we were given two pairs of wireless headphones, very good quality. It's a small thing, but it was very pleasant. The time of the visit is not limited, at some points it was nice to delay and listen twice. We were very pleased with the visit!!!

An atmospheric historical place, very well interspersed with a journey through the fortress itself and museum corners. Usually, children don't really go to such places, but everyone was happy here. Local residents added color: turtles, peacocks, seals.

A beautiful place with a great history. There is a very interesting museum of underwater archaeology in the fortress. A stunning exhibit is a Bronze Age Phoenician ship with a cargo of goods originating from Egypt to Afghanistan and with an international crew. This discovery turned historians' ideas about the trade routes of the Bronze Age upside down.

This is a completely unique place in itself + a fascinating museum of underwater archaeologists' finds + picturesque views of the sea, islands, bay, Bodrum ... it may not seem very economical, of course, but it's worth it!!! Even if you are not a fan of museums and so on - there is only the atmosphere of a medieval castle that "sucks" instantly!!! I have already visited twice, and if I find myself in Bodrum again, I will definitely go to the castle again)))

I didn't really like the ticket price. But in general, now, in my opinion, the price tag for tourists is higher everywhere, including in the Russian Federation.

Admission is 29 euros, they charge only in lira. Is there a souvenir and branded market nearby? of course, there is an exchanger there. Wonderful views, the old fortress is impressive. Очень хороший не только сохранившейся архитектурой, но и умелым ее использованием музей. Отличный образец средневековой оборонительнрй архитектуры. Прекрасные образцы античной скульптуры, мозаики. Великолепная реконструкция затонувшего древнегреческого корабля. Уникальные экспозиции древнего оружия и украшений. Очень любопытный и познавательный музей. И живые павлины.

In general, there are a lot of historical artifacts. The fortress itself was built at different times, starting from the 1400s. And if someone is not very interested in historical objects-the fortress itself is located in a very beautiful place, on the peninsula. From three sides the sea, yachts, beautiful views. In the fortress itself there is, among other things, a cafe, toilets, a souvenir shop.

Музей большой - много залов. В каждом зале - необходимый минимум экспонатов по теме - без перегруза. Современное музейное оборудование - мультимедиа, кондиционеры. Полный подробный осмотр - часа на 3. Детям больше всего нравятся корабли и павлины. Билеты дороговаты, но оно того стоит

Обязательно для посещения в Бодруме. Не просто красивая точка, а хороший археологический музей. Есть находки архитектурные разных эпох, которые интересно рассматривать.
Сам музей хорошо сделан и по нему приятно ходить.
Ну и павлины :)

A must-visit for all tourists in Bodrum. But be prepared to schedule at least 2 hours for a normal inspection of the entire territory. Tickets are unexpectedly very expensive. I couldn't even remember where else we paid so much for visiting something like this.

Если вы в Бодруме, то обязательно к посещению. Крепость достаточно большая. Внутри много отдельных тематических павильонов.

Вход в музей не из дешёвых, но того стоит. Тем более, это главная достопримечательность во всей округе. Замок открыт до 22, поэтому лучше идти вечером, когда не жарко. Находки с разбитых кораблей занимательны - в основном амфоры
