A visit to the Hero Fortress and the Brest Fortress Defense Museum is mandatory when visiting the Republic of Belarus. Every stone on the territory of the fortress is a memory that needs to be preserved and passed on to new generations. The territory is large, with three museums, an active temple, a memorial and several monuments. There is a cafe Citadel, souvenir shops. Entrance to the fortress is free, and museums are available for a nominal fee. You can book a guided tour. Before visiting, you can watch the movie "Brest Fortress" for an on-site thrill. The Berestie Archaeological Museum is also located behind the Kholm Gate, it won't take much time, it's worth a visit.

We specially chose Brest on our trip to Belarus in order to visit it. Those who honor their history should definitely visit here. We were very lucky to have an art guide. A pleasant woman, she told me very interestingly and with all her heart to this story. At some points, they even barely held back tears, with the whole group. The tour was both inside and outside the museum. We listened enthusiastically, we didn't even take special photos. After the tour, we went back to the museum to capture everything in memory. I advise you to set aside an entire day to visit this fortress. We were limited in time, and of course we didn't have enough time to look at everything thoroughly. We were here on September 9, 2025.
