I really liked the museum. We went there on Wednesday and it turned out that the last Wednesday of the month was their grace day. And discounts on tickets. Although the ticket price is already low. The exhibition consists of two parts. Nature and history. The museum has modern forms of material presentation. There are interactive elements. The children won't be bored there. Informative for adults. I really liked the people who work at the museum. Both the administrator and the caretakers. Everyone is very friendly, they are happy to talk about the exhibition, pay attention to interesting points. We were with a teenager for 15 years and we all really enjoyed visiting this museum!

A cool museum - lots of maps, exhibits, a little interactive (train carriage, telephone booth), there is a quiz. For the regional museum, this is a real test. All historical periods are well represented, except the last one - the post-war history of the region, the 90s, the noughties are still 80 years old, for example, you would like to see the situation in a typical apartment in different periods. The exhibition is dedicated to nature - separately, was not. In general, I recommend it.

We were on a guided tour on 07/13/2025. We took a historical survey, and Vadim conducted it for us (I don't know his last name or patronymic). He told me interesting, a lot, not only dry facts, but also various interesting details. It is interesting and useful for understanding even the architecture of the city, the mentality of the citizens of this city, is it a joke how many times the city has moved from one country to another. Vadim, the museum employee, also covered the history of the city for us (unfortunately, I did not remember the position and full name). I would like to express my special gratitude to you! It's a beautiful place, everything is well-coordinated, the halls are decorated with meaning, and the exhibits are located. I recommend it to every guest (and resident) Brest to visit the Museum of local lore. I do not add photos, because you need to see it with your own eyes and feel the situation.

A wonderful museum. Rich exposition. One thing spoiled the impression: all (!) signatures are only in Belarusian. Everything seems to be clear, but it's uncomfortable, as if you're solving a riddle. It would probably be enough to hang an information stand in each hall at the entrance, where it is written in Russian what is presented in the hall.

An extremely unpleasant impression from the museum staff. They climb up with cries of "Don't lean against the glass! Leave stains! "... " Don't lean against the window! She's under the alarm! "... We weren't leaning against anything. We didn't touch the windows. We were just getting closer... Probably at a distance inaccessible to Belarusian caretakers... I just wanted to look at the details..... We've traveled half the world... And as Nikita Mikhalkov's character said: " Nothing more strange and ridiculous has happened to me in any country in the world.".. The inscriptions are everywhere only in Belarusian. At the entrance to each hall on a carnation(!) there are leaflets with information in Russian. 7.5 Belarusian rubles would not be a pity if you understood that you are giving money to the state of Belarus, and not for the maintenance of all these vague things that only repel... I would add a photo review, but photos in this museum are for a fee, and there is nothing to photograph at all! Don't waste money on it. And you can't buy an excursion, as is possible in any museum in Russia. You only need to order a few days in advance. .
