The cafe is located in the basement. The interior is interesting and atmospheric. Colorful rugs, lamps in the form of clay pots. The range of dishes is not very large, but you can choose according to your taste. Lots of drinks, and tea and coffee, and compotes, and alcohol on tap. We took herring under a fur coat (I liked it, it was fresh) and draniki (regular) with mushrooms and sour cream. Sour cream is delicious! Cranberry drink is decent. We paid about 700 Russian rubles for two people. The service is courteous and friendly. In general, we liked it. It's a little cramped. The toilet is clean.

Simply put, this is a democratic dining room, the concept of which is based on familiarity with Belarusian cuisine and an emphasis on potatoes. We came here for lunch - it's full inside, we barely managed to find an empty table in a small room. We go to the end of the room, to the distribution line and the storefronts, choose what we like, pay at the checkout. We noticed that the price is not indicated for all products, but rather selectively. And yet, if the order is not given from the kitchen, but taken from the showcase, then before that it is whirled to a "barely warm" state in the microwave. A girl works in the hall, who alone barely manages to run from the queue to the microwave. Inside there is one elongated hall with a linear layout: at the end there are storefronts and a cash register area. On both sides of the hall there are massive wooden tables designed for 4-6 guests. A special feature of the interior is the design with a pronounced Belarusian flavor and a reference to the rustic style. At the entrance, the open beams under the ceiling and the wooden panel on the walls, as well as hanging lamps with metal shades, catch the eye. The decor with characteristic folk elements made of natural materials is responsible for creating an atmosphere of home warmth: mini bouquets in pots and open shelves with pottery. The interior is simple but authentic - it emphasizes the theme of the institution. What struck us the most was the discrepancy between the names of the dishes on the menu, which diverged from the actual content. For example, under the guise of machanka, ordinary draniki with fried champignons are served. Everything in the establishment literally screams about the positioning of the national cuisine - why mislead the guests? It's hard to believe that they don't know what a Belarusian machanka is, what it looks like, and what ingredients it contains. And this is far from the only example of such inconsistencies. Salads are placed in a refrigerated display case, the main dishes are protected from the distribution line by a glass panel - in general, everything looks more or less tolerable. The choice is not too wide, without any special frills, but it is still possible to choose something to taste, if, of course, the name matches the chosen dish. The cost, by Russian standards, is very affordable. The first impression of the establishment is very pleasant, the interior is clean, atmospheric, the prices are low, the location, again, could not be more central. But the kitchen is disappointing, most of the dishes are served cold, regardless of the heating in the microwave, some of them do not correspond to the stated names. Expectation: to pamper the receptors while fully enjoying the Belarusian cuisine. Harsh reality: most of the dishes did not live up to expectations, except for those "sorcerers with meat", which for some reason are simply called draniki.

We visited the Bulbyanaya cafe in Vitebsk and were absolutely delighted! The draniki with meat are simply gorgeous — flavorful and very satisfying. Mushroom soup with pearl barley is an unusual but incredibly tasty dish.The menu is not too big, but everything is thought out: it is enough to have a delicious and homely lunch. The staff is polite, attentive — just a fire! The cafe itself is small, but very cozy, with a pleasant atmosphere.I definitely recommend it — it's a great place to have a delicious meal and relax in the center of Vitebsk.
