It was once an iconic place... In 1934, the leadership of the Polish Rifle Union decided to build a Shooter's House in Grodno, which became the center of the organizations' activities and provided space for a library, a club, a theater hall and even a gas mask shelter for 550 people. The building of the Strelka House was built in 1936 according to the design of architect Grokhovsky in the constructivist style. It featured asymmetrical shapes, different window sizes, and a prominent staircase module. After Grodno joined the BSSR in 1939, the building became the Home of the Red Army. Concerts, performances by musical and pop groups, including Eddie Rosner's jazz orchestra, were held here. After the war, the building was named the garrison Officers' House, and a large concert hall was added to it. It became an important cultural center, where concerts, recreation evenings and New Year's performances for adults and children were held. The building is currently in disrepair, it has been sold and is awaiting restoration. The Soviet-era part of the building with a large concert hall will be demolished. by the way: For many years, this building housed one of the most "famous" nightclubs in the city.
