I never thought that my husband and I would be so impressed by an educational institution. If we had just walked through the collegium's territory, we probably wouldn't have liked it so much. We signed up for a half-hour guided tour for a nominal fee. A wonderful girl guide told us about the history and traditions of the collegium. The interior reminded us a bit of Hoggwards from the Harry Potter movie. We managed to ask questions to the mechanical head created by the Austrian professor Gruber. In the courtyard of the collegium, we looked at katrina, saw an ancient well and a clock striking to the hymn of Gaudeamus and the anthem of the University of Polotsk with figures of people important to Polotsk and the collegium moving in a circle. I didn't want to leave at all. We only regretted that we didn't take a longer tour.

This is not only an educational institution, but in the past (from the pre-war period until 2004) the Polotsk Military hospital, where defenders of the Fatherland were treated. Here, a lieutenant of the 350th parachute regiment from Borovukha-1 saved my life by undergoing surgery on Sunday (!) November 15, 1992. I am grateful to the staff of the Surgical Department, as well as the Therapeutic Department (the attending physician is Tsiliya Efimovna Sher). That's the story of this building, except for the educational institution.

It's a wonderful place. I envy the students who study at the university, which was built in the 16th century and has such a history. The territory can be accessed freely, but the courtyard to the clock and the well, as well as the office with a mechanical head, can only be accessed with an excursion, which must be booked in advance. Everyone can ask questions to the head, so prepare them in advance. He responds very quickly and individually, not in general phrases, but, of course, in a philosophical way.

It's a very atmospheric place, I liked both the interior and the enclosed courtyard with a clock and a well. The walls of the collegium are so thick that in some places the cellular connection does not even pick up. It's funny that this is a functioning university and someone is studying there. The talking head is a bit boring - it gives streamlined answers, there are no specifics. It's a pity that there wasn't enough time for the tour.

A wonderful place, restored buildings in excellent condition, landscaped grounds. At the same time, it is possible to get inside the building only with a certain guide, having made an appointment in advance by phone and at a certain time, that is, for a traveler who arrived with one overnight stay in Polotsk, it is practically impossible. It is a pity that we could not see either a clock with dolls or a talking head, although we stopped in Polotsk specifically for this. I think that such an organization of visits needs to be urgently changed.

These are 10 and 5. Fantastic. Mentally, unusually, pleasant people. What an unreal vibe. I would have come again and again. Make sure to book an excursion in advance. And the head is a dump of the head😂

I am completely delighted with visiting Polotsk State University, a former Jesuit collegium. The University not only preserves the atmosphere and the best traditions, but also surprises guests literally at every step. A talking head answers philosophical questions in several languages, a piano plays without the participation of musicians, and the library houses the largest globe in Belarus, an ancient well fulfills wishes, and the clock comes to life every hour. To the sounds of the student anthem, the figures of famous Polochans solemnly come out onto the balcony. The tour is in one go! I highly recommend visiting. Be careful: You will definitely want to become a student again!)

We expected more...In fact, it was an educational institution with security access, and it was difficult to find the famous clock with figures in the courtyard.

A very atmospheric place! A great tour! The patio is gorgeous. Did you know about the clock with moving figures and the students' anthem? We're not... Well, the mechanical talking head shocked us. We had a very entertaining philosophical conversation. We strongly recommend you to visit!

They could not fully assess it . We came specially to listen to the clock. But it turned out that they are launched only until 14 o'clock and it is paid. It's very strange... Nowhere, not in Prague, not in Moscow, not in Yoshkar-Ola, such watches are freely available to people.... The area is clean, but I don't want to go there anymore....

An amazing and beautiful place where the university and an art gallery are located. It's a pity that we won't see what used to be here. I recommend taking a walk and visiting the gallery and museum at PSU!

I study at this place. Autumn is a beautiful building both inside and out. It has a very interesting history. If you want to visit, then there are guided tours in this place where everything is told and shown. It is difficult to describe in words the beauty and atmosphere of this place, it is better to look at it live

A nice girl guide told an interesting story of the collegium. It wasn't boring. Thanks to her! One request to those who will be on her excursions is to pay for her hard work. There are individuals who "dump" after the talking head! The man did his best for you.And if you hadn't been paid? Nothing personal!

High ceilings, no cracks in the walls and no paint sprinkled. The corridors are quite wide, but because of the crowd of students in the middle of the corridor it is impossible to pass. Of the minuses, there is a small selection in the buffet and turnstiles were installed

Two faculties of Polotsk State University are located within the walls. Clean, well maintained. You can book a tour, it's interesting. There is a clock with moving figures and musical accompaniment. They play every new hour.

The current state university. But the staff provides guided tours. We were on a May weekend, so there were no students there. The mechanism of the 18th century talking head has been restored . You can ask a question and ask for advice, which we did. The clock at the university has also been restored, the university anthem is being sung in 2 languages.

An atmospheric place in the historical center. Parking, cafes, historical monuments, St. Sophia Cathedral - everything is nearby. There is an opportunity to book an excursion, where, in addition to architecture, you can see reconstructions of ancient costumes, and a "talking head", and a courtyard with a well, a musical clock, etc.

We haven't been inside, we haven't had a chance, but the gallery is something. The third floor and the fourth for each individually. We weren't interested. But the second and especially the first one is definitely worth your attention.

I gave it three stars, because I didn't get on the tour and I didn't see what I could see there. And the reason for this is that now it is a university and in order to see all the sights, you need to call the university in advance and discuss when and how it is possible to get on the tour.
