It's a very cool and cozy hotel. There are rooms with a superior view of Kazbek (slightly more expensive) and, if you want cheaper, with a view of the entrance street. Breakfast and dinner are charged separately, you need to book in advance, but it's definitely worth it. They cook very tasty and in large quantities. I lived here with my wife, I lived many times with the bands that I lead to Kazbek - everyone always likes it here. Russian russians are hospitable, and if they can, they speak Russian (and don't turn up their noses, as in some other, even the most expensive hotels in Stepntsminda). If they can't, they often understand Russian and respond in English. In general, I definitely recommend it.
