Good food, bad service

We recently visited this wonderful restaurant in the city center and were absolutely delighted! The atmosphere is incredibly cozy, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the food is served at the highest level, in the best traditions of restaurant etiquette. I was surprised by the speed and grace with which our orders were fulfilled: less than a minute after ordering, mineral water appeared on the table, and the waiter elegantly filled the glasses. After a couple of minutes, we were already enjoying the freshest and incredibly delicious salads. We didn't have time to finish them, as we were served hot dishes, everything is hot, fragrant, cooked with soul. Many thanks to the chefs for their culinary skills, the waiters for their impeccable service and the organizers for creating such a wonderful place with a wonderful interior that pleases every guest. The restaurant, inspired by the movie "The Caucasian Captive", hit me in the heart! The interior and atmosphere are reminiscent of your favorite characters, a real journey into the world of cinema.

An interesting place in the quality of the interior. The interior is bright, saturated, and the eyes run away from a huge number of exposures. Comfortable cabins with upholstered chairs. The menu has a large selection of everything for an evening feast and dinner. But we visited this place for breakfast. There is not much choice for breakfast, scrambled eggs on a frying pan with various fillings. The cooking is not modern, as if time has stopped here. Maybe this is the flavor of preserving old recipes, but it's not delicious. For example, canned champignons in fried eggs, the cheese dish itself was burnt at the bottom, but the top was not ready yet. Khachapuri in Adjarian style was delicious. Cherry compote is rich with a bright taste. I liked the Armenian coffee, but my family didn't like it very much. We waited a very long time, despite the fact that there were not many guests in the morning. The staff is not very friendly, everyone is busy with their own business. There was no hospitality.

A very cool atmospheric restaurant-museum dedicated to the film of the same name. Courteous staff sharing wisdom in the atmosphere of the film, funny dance routines, appropriate music, delicious cuisine and drinks. Please note that each receipt contains +10% of the "service fee" type - this is some kind of local tax and it has nothing to do with tips. The institution is definitely welcome as one of the cultural values of Yerevan!

A wonderful place with delicious wine and dishes. The waiters are very attentive and quick. The TV cafe has a theme from the movie The Caucasian Prisoner, and therefore the place seems attractive and cozy to many people. There are also Caucasian dances for guests in the cafe. I was here on 6.03.25. I can't say anything bad. The design is just great. The waiters are polite, but they take a long time. The dishes are very standard with a standard serving, but the choice is large. I can't say it's delicious, but there's nothing to complain about. Just a snack that you can get in cheaper places. If you are going to Yerevan to have a delicious meal, then you are not here.
As wonderful as Yerevan is from a gastronomic point of view, it was just as bad from the other side in the Caucasian captivity.
Dry, pickled, tasteless meat in a barbecue (we tried an assortment of 6 types). The dishes do not contain ingredients, just photos and names.
Russian Russian hostess greets us at the entrance to the restaurant with the name from the Soviet film of the same name, with the name in Russian, with quotes in Russian all over the room....not speaking Russian. Only English. The menu is also in English, and when we asked if there was a menu in Russian, the same hostess brought only one (there were two of us).
I won't describe which table they wanted to put us at (a separate small room a la kebab in Anapa from the 90s). Although we booked in advance and asked for a good table by the window / wall.
Plus, 40 thousand drams were left for the two of them, which also means that we have to try very hard in Yerevan. The apotheosis was a check in Armenian (the tourist center of the city).
In general, this statement is headed by anti-rating for me in hospitable Yerevan.
I don't recommend it at all.

A very pleasant, comfortable place to relax. Of course, you will be pleasantly surprised here not only by a large selection of national dishes, including in the author's reading, but also by a very budget price tag. The staff speaks Russian very well and will always help with the selection of dishes and drinks. The atmosphere of the place is simply amazing - everything is like in the movie the Caucasian captive. Of course, we haven't had time to try even a tenth of the menu yet, but I can confidently say that everything is very tasty. And especially coffee is by far the most delicious in Yerevan.

We visited the restaurant "Caucasian captive" in 2021 and this 2024. The restaurant is excellent, good cuisine, everything is delicious, a beautiful serving of dishes, an interesting and cozy interior, a good program of dancers. The prices are adequate. Everything is fine!
From the unpleasant: the waiter who served us did not give us a check and said that the service was not included in the bill, of course we paid for the service too, and then found out that he had deceived us after all. Unpleasant. We would have left a tip anyway, but we wouldn't have felt cheated.

Firstly, tips are included, and secondly, we were not going to leave anything to rudeness. Although we leave extra everywhere. Excellent service in lavash, in Yerevan tavern. Maybe this is the only God-offended employee in the entire restaurant, but the management needs to pay attention to previous reviews, including. Both the owner and the excellent chefs are suffering. We've booked a table. There were no surprises about this. The restaurant is very atmospheric, with musical costumed rooms. The service of the Shiraz waiter was prompt and attentive. My friends and I really liked everything. If you want to have a nice rest and have a good meal, come here.
