The museum is truly a gem, showcasing amazing exhibitions that captivate visitors of all ages. However, there are a few enhancements that could elevate the experience even further. Firstly, improving accessibility for families with young children in strollers and elderly visitors would make a significant difference. Installing ramps or at least one elevator would ensure that everyone can navigate the space comfortably, allowing all guests to enjoy the exhibitions without barriers. Additionally, making the museum pet-friendly, specifically for small pets in carriers, could attract more visitors who would love to include their furry companions in their cultural outings. This would not only enhance the visitor experience but also promote a welcoming and inclusive environment. By implementing these suggestions, the museum could become a more accessible and enjoyable destination.

an important institution for kazakh culture. I hope in the future more archaeological treasures can be added to the collection exemplifying the rich history of kazakhstan. What I missed was information on the following: yenisei kyrgyz, yamnaya culture, denisova homo sapiens, kök turk khaganate, dingling and yuezhi, xiongnu, mongol tatars, the naiman, karakhanids, karluks, uyghur khanates, dasht I kipchak and ulus of jochi. Soviet colonization and deportation of the crimean tatars. The creation of modern nation states called kyrgyzstan, kazakhstan etc on the remnants of the proud kazakh khanate and dzunghar khanate

The National Museum in Alma Ata was pleasantly surprised. I was particularly impressed with the Golden Man hall, with its powerful atmosphere and excellent pitch. I also liked the reconstruction of the yurt: you can literally feel the spirit of nomadic culture. Spacious, modern, lots of interesting things. A must-visit!

I lived in Almaty for a week. The first day in the city turned out to be rainy, so I decided to go to the Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The building itself is very beautiful. The exhibits begin at the entrance to the square in front of the museum. Tickets are very cheap, about 150 rubles. The ticket to the golden storeroom is more expensive, but I decided to go. You can't take pictures in the pantry, but they will give you a guided tour, even if you came alone))) The exposition is small, but it's worth a look. The museum is located on two floors. There are many interesting exhibits telling about the history of Kazakhstan. Very friendly staff. The signs are in two languages: Kazakh and Russian. They may have already appeared on others, because there are a lot of foreigners. I recommend this museum to visit..

The State Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty is not just a repository of exhibits, but a real portal to the past, allowing to deepen understanding of the history and multifaceted culture of Kazakhstan. Our visit to the museum left an indelible impression and became an exciting journey that I recommend to anyone interested in the history and ethnography of Central Asia. The museum is thoughtful, the scale, the variety of exhibits-these are its distinctive features that our whole family liked. The expositions cover huge time periods – from the most ancient archaeological finds (trilobites were liked by the son (the archaeologist is growing))until modern times .The halls of the museum are divided according to the thematic principle. Cool!

A great museum! There are several halls dedicated to different eras: from the Paleolithic to the present. I liked the treasure room: there were interesting exhibits and the guide told me a great story. The plates on the exhibits are duplicated into Russian and English, which is very convenient.

The museum is located in a very beautiful building. But it's a bit of a pity that there aren't many halls, the whole inspection doesn't take very long. The logic of the exhibits' location is not clear everywhere, and not all exhibits have a description of the period in which this item was used. We met tour groups of children and adults, but they did not bother us, as the halls are spacious. I really liked the ethnographic exposition.

I probably didn't get into it, and I shouldn't. Perhaps the best part of the museum is its building. The staff and organization leave much to be desired. Entrance to some of the halls is for a fee, probably, you need to tell about this when selling tickets, so that the visitor immediately gets to all the places of interest to him, and does not constantly run to the ticket office. One of these halls is the archaeological gold of Kazakhstan for an additional fee. I'm sorry if my conclusion seems arrogant to you, but a lot is learned in comparison, and after the conditional golden storeroom of the Hermitage, it will be difficult to be impressed here. I understand that the comparison is incorrect, but here you have a hall for a fee (like a ticket to the entire museum), and this raises a certain bar of expectations. Some of the photographs, such as those from the Soviet era, are not dated. The map of the national composition in the cities of Kazakhstan also has no indication of sources, no data for what period of time, etc. A wardrobe without a cloakroom attendant. At least, that was the case in April. Come in yourself, hang it up yourself, pick it up yourself. No, I have no difficulty hanging up and taking it away, but there are some concerns that someone will take away things that are not their own, of course, the presence of a cloakroom attendant here does not guarantee either, but still slightly increases the chances.

For the first time in Almaty. We visited the central museum and were very satisfied. Everything is at the highest level, interesting exhibits. Everything is clean and the lighting is great. The staff is very responsive, especially grateful to Olga, she was on duty that day, as it turned out, she is also a restorer of clothes in this museum. In general, everything is great, I definitely recommend you to visit!

A large museum. There are 7 halls in total. Entrance is paid (500 tenge per person, separate payment in the 2nd hall - 1000 tenge, in the 3rd hall - 1000 tenge). With children, it is enough to visit the main halls. The children will be bored in the 2nd hall. I didn't go to 3. Each room is themed, which is convenient. The presented exhibitions tell about the paleontological past, ancient, medieval, modern and modern history and cultural heritage of Kazakhstan.

It is a very beautiful museum outside with many interesting exhibits inside. There is even a golden storeroom. I was alone there, and I was accompanied by a guide and a policeman. There is a yurt that cannot be entered, but you can view and touch it from the outside. A full-size yurt.

It is a very interesting museum with excellent exhibitions. The only problem is to find a guide in the ethnography hall. The attendants refused to invite him, and my leg hurt and I couldn't walk back and forth. And in the hall of the golden Fund and Anthropology, a young man, a recent graduate of the Faculty of History, had a great tour. I learned a lot about the history of Kazakhstan. Thanks!

The museum staff are very friendly and helpful, they talk with pleasure about the exhibits and history. A visit to the main 4 halls costs 500 tenge, a visit to the golden hall costs 1500 tenge. We managed to visit only the main 4 halls, but we were also satisfied, a very informative and quite large collection of exhibits. Everything is very well maintained, beautifully decorated. I recommend you to visit.

We expected more. It is not possible to form a more or less harmonious idea of the history and culture of the people from the exposition, but I would really like to. Dinosaurs, yurt and war are, to put it mildly, not equal categories, which by and large exhaust the exposition. For the most part, there is no dating on the exhibits. You can look into the yurt by sticking your head through the entrance, but you can't go inside. One of the advantages is the QR-enabled audio guide. I would like to wish the museum staff strength, good luck and all the best in improving the museum's exposition.

We were with my family in February, the ticket prices are reasonable, the interior is clean, the exhibits are interesting, the caretakers in the halls are very pleasant. Unfortunately, she did not ask for a name, but one of them said that if you put your ear to the cannon, you can hear the hum of military aircraft. And indeed! She took a great picture of us under the dome, thank you very much!!! The only drawback is that the museum is not adapted for disabled visitors - there are no ramps, we were with the baby, we had to leave the stroller at the wardrobe and carry the child in our arms. I wish you to correct this nuance, and get better and better 🥰

The museum looks impressive from the outside, but inside there is a very small and modest exposition, especially for the central state museum. If you have time, it's still worth going in, because there are interesting exhibits, and the entrance price is ridiculous (something like 500 tenge).

We really liked the museum! Classic, in the best traditions, the Central State Museum is a solid, with a rich exposition, located in a huge beautiful building, with silence and coolness in the halls, with the smell of history, with carefully preserved and detailed descriptions of exhibits telling about the history of the Kazakh land from the most ancient times, about the history of the formation of the nation, about education and The development of the state is exactly what one of the oldest and largest museums in Central Asia should be. Interesting, informative and diverse expositions - paleontological, archaeological, historical and ethnographic, anthropological, historical, artistic. We took individual excursions in the ethnography hall and in the "golden" hall. In the ethnography hall, the guide gave us an interesting and very informative tour. It is difficult to navigate in this hall without a guide - the hall is large, a huge number of exhibits from various epochs and spheres of life of the Kazakh people. Unfortunately, we do not know the name of our wonderful guide - thank him very much! In addition to the main historical information, he told such a lot of interesting details - about the symbolic meanings of the elements of national patterns, about the deep meaning of national women's jewelry, musical instruments, household items and clothing items, about the sacred meaning of the elements of the yurt, about the types and purpose of carpets and chests, about the peculiarities of the mentality and worldview of the Kazakh people, everything and not list it! In the small "golden" hall, where the stunning beauty and elegance of gold jewelry are stored, the most ancient of which the Kazakh land has preserved since 4-5 centuries BC, there was also a very interesting excursion with such amazing, simply fantastic stories about the circumstances of the discovery of gold treasures! The museum has a small cafe and a souvenir shop. In front of the entrance to the museum there is a cozy square with rose beds and benches in the shade of trees. A wonderful place! I definitely recommend you to visit! And I wish the museum development and prosperity!

Extensive halls, huge collections of the peoples of the world, a lot of information, rare specimens of dinosaurs, there is a hall of the peoples of the world, which describes the way of life of the people, costumes, kitchen utensils and much more. the Hall of Military Glory. It is an interesting museum, you can learn the history and culture of Kazakhstan from dinosaurs to the present day. There are a lot of different exhibits, and large stands, but something modern and interactive is missing. There are also small souvenir stalls with handicrafts. Fits well into the atmosphere of the city. It is a very interesting place, and the museum building itself looks beautiful. It's worth a visit!

Gentlemen from the tour department. Where is your hospitality, culture and customer orientation. It's a shame how you talk on the phone with people who are interested in your museum and the history of Kazakhstan. You drop the phone without really giving an answer, you have to call several times to understand what it's about, you don't specify. Irritation. Apparently you are very tired of us with our thirst for knowledge.
