There are a lot of sights in Prague, and one of the most important is the Charles Bridge. Any tourist coming to the capital of the Czech Republic strives to visit Charles Bridge in the very first days of their stay in this beautiful city, especially since it connects two historical districts of Prague. The very first stone bridge in Prague, the Judith Bridge, which in ancient times stood on the site of Charles Bridge, collapsed during a flood. Therefore, King Charles IV approached the construction of a new crossing over the Vltava River more thoroughly. On the advice of astrologers, he set the date of the bridge's foundation stone in accordance with the magic numbers, the combination of which promised the new bridge a long service to the city and accompany its prosperity. Magic probably still works on this ancient structure, since the Charles Bridge continues to bring material income to the city to some extent, which was not even imagined during the Middle Ages. Today, tourists from all over the world come to Prague to see this extraordinary and beautiful place first of all, to capture themselves against the background of sculptures and bridge towers, to make wishes. I don't think any astrologer of Charles IV could tell the king how popular this bridge would be in the future. Charles Bridge is now a pedestrian zone. At any time of the day, without any fees, as it was in ancient times, you can walk through this unusual open-air museum, admiring the sculptures and the panoramic views of the city. But it is advisable to come here early in the morning or in the evening, as there are a lot of tourists here during the day. Street artists, musicians, and souvenir vendors add a romantic atmosphere to the Charles Bridge. Of course, Charles Bridge is a unique monument of history and architecture, and every guest of Prague should visit it. This mystical place with many symbols is shrouded in the atmosphere of legends and myths. Its unsolved mysteries still attract the attention of researchers. I think that more than one generation will be surprised and admired by this extraordinary ancient structure.

It's a very remarkable place. It was built for about 500 years, the spirit of medieval Europe is felt in every stone. The bridge is now completely pedestrian-only. There are many sculptures darkened by time on it. They can be viewed for hours, studied, penetrated into the past. The building is very atmospheric and monumental.
