Many thanks for the warmth and hospitality to all the staff of the Chegem hotel and the kitchen staff for the excellent breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. To the management and administrators for their humanity and assistance in the transfer. A very large-scale and majestic idea of the building, built in 1985 With huge halls, loggias, and a rooftop solarium, it never ceases to amaze vacationers. The beautiful views from the balconies to the sea and the mountains are soothing. The accessibility of the beach is a big plus.

ATTENTION TOURISTS, this is very important information for you. If you are going to Abkhazia, I recommend that you do not even look towards Chegem. The building is very old and requires major repairs, there is a feeling that just a little more and it will fall apart. The rooms leave much to be desired: the water in the faucet does not close, the toilet needs to be hit to make it work, the rooms are dusty. We went with the whole family of 7 people and rented 3 rooms, and only one had a functioning toilet. To our indignation, the deputy director said: "the toilet needs to be hit and then it will start to take on water, and just turn the faucet harder. You generally have rooms with Increased Comfort." To the question: "what is the "increased comfort"?", he smiled and said, "you have air conditioning in your rooms and hot water flows constantly, but the hot water is supplied on schedule on the floor below," well, thank you. On the same day, we started looking for a place to move, but in the end we had to stay at this boarding house for the second day. In the morning, we began to look at living here less critically, the food is delicious, the views are beautiful, the sea is nearby, you can adjust to the rest, but the poisoning of the whole family was the last straw. We operated the toilets all night. We ate only at the boarding house, we did not swallow the sea - the conclusions are obvious. Also in room 505, the children were bitten by bedbugs. In the morning, the deputy director simply shrugged off our regular outrages, and when he said that they had sincere bedbugs, he was surprised, "what other bedbugs? What is it?". Anyway, on the morning of the third day, we packed up and ran away to another hotel, and it was as if we had gone to heaven after this horror. These two days at the boarding house were as disgusting as possible, I advise no one to come here. Thanks for your attention

I gave 5 stars for pleasant memories!!! I've been vacationing here since the day it opened. A magnificent building with a magnificent view!!!! It used to be called Archfund. It belonged to the Union of Architects of the USSR. Those were wonderful years. And now, of course, the complex needs renovation... But what I want to say is, if we take 2* into account, it turns out to be a great economy!!! The views are amazing. And one more thing, it's better to choose rooms on the left side, if you look at the sea. Previously, there was a gorgeous two-level beach with a staircase within walking distance. When there was a storm, the stairs were lifted. And you could look at the waves from the second level. There were sun beds with umbrellas, showers, tennis tables, a volleyball court (if I'm not mistaken) and a separate pavilion with a 12-foot Russian billiards table. I also fondly remember Uncle Yasha, the first head of the Archfund. I haven't been to Gagra since Soviet times. I postponed my trips there a few times, but I will definitely settle in Chegem if I can get to Abkhazia.
