We are relaxing at The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort 4* hotel next to the Chekhov Village Restaurant. We loved this place. The food is very tasty. The service is excellent. Clean, cozy, fast. The prices are affordable. We recommend it.

The Koff restaurant, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations. The ordered tom yam turned out to be far from ideal — it tasted like creamy soup, without the characteristic piquancy and aroma. This disappointment was reinforced by the lack of attention from the waitress: no interest in our opinion, no request to suggest something else. In addition, I noticed a not entirely pleasant practice of the institution: to receive a positive review, they offer a 10% discount. This raises doubts about the sincerity of many assessments. Perhaps such maneuvers can attract temporary attention to the restaurant, but a real gastronomic reputation should be based on the quality of cuisine and service, not on discounts. As a result, our visit to the Playoff was a lesson that not always an institution with a beautiful name can offer a decent menu. I hope the owners will draw conclusions from our feedback and understand that the real emotions of visitors are more important than any material preference.
