Pandas are great! I especially liked the little red pandas, fire fox. We were lucky, we got caught during feeding. All the pandas were there! The bamboo forest is beautiful, and walking in the park was a pleasure.

It's a large-scale park, but I didn't see any pandas. There are a lot of tourists, it's hot and they check their passports. When it's not so difficult to buy a ticket in other museums, it's more difficult here. Queues, there's no taxi service.

Exploring the Homeland of National Treasures: Ecological Observation and Humanistic Experience of Chengdu Giant Panda Base 1. Overview of the base and tour routes As the world's largest artificial breeding giant panda protection institution, Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding Research Base covers an area of 357 acres and completely simulates the native habitat of pandas.Visitors can follow the classic route of "Moon delivery room → Sun Delivery Room→ Adult Panda Villa → Panda Museum", the whole journey takes about 3-4 hours. The bamboo forest coverage rate in the base exceeds 80%, and the average summer temperature is 3-5℃ lower than in urban areas, which has both popular science and summer shelter functions. 2. Panda behavior observation record Eating behavior: Adult pandas consume 14-18 kg of bamboo per day, and prefer to choose the green flesh part of the bamboo sun, which makes a crisp “rattle” sound when eating. Social interaction: Sub-adult pandas have been observed to establish hierarchical relationships through chasing, climbing trees and playing. Among them, the interaction between ”Chengfeng“ and ”Chenglang" twins is particularly frequent. Special phenomenon: Some pandas will use the ”upside down golden Bell" posture to hang on a wooden frame to exercise the strength of their forelimbs. 3. Protection practice and humanistic values Breeding results: The base pioneered the “cub rotation method”, which increased the survival rate of panda cubs to 92%. Volunteer experience: Participate in the production of nest head (raw materials include corn flour and soy flour) and feces analysis to intuitively understand the characteristics of the panda's digestive system. Cultural symbol: The annual sales of Panda Base derivatives exceed 200 million yuan, and its image has become the “super IP” of Sichuan Cultural Tourism. Fourth, optimization suggestions Diversion measures: Add an exclusive guided tour of the ”Panda Morning active period" (8:00-10:00) to alleviate the gap in the tour experience during the panda hibernation period at noon. Ecological education: It is recommended to develop an AR interactive project to show the history of panda habitat changes through virtual reality. Conclusion This inspection confirmed the effectiveness of the base's “scientific research + tourism” dual-track model. As a model case for global biodiversity conservation, its experience is worthy of being extended to other areas of endangered species conservation.
