Saturday and Sundays there are a lot of cars to cross the border, some of them to visit the relatives some to do the business. Both sides made it easy to cross by car or on foot. If you don't have anything illegal then it is green light to cross the border from both sides.

*CARFUL* CORRUPT KAZAKHSTAN BORDER POLICE ! First off - Super hectic place, lots of people going through customs here. If you're a Westener be super careful when the border guards are asking you how much money you have with you. They will make you count it on the table while trying to steal a big note of your money. It happened to us & super fast, they must have been doing it for years already, but we were able to spot it. This happened on the Kazakhstan side, no problems on uzkeb side of border.
