The unique fortress temple of the XVI century. Most modern historians agree that the date of construction should be considered 1524 and it is for this reason that in September- October 2024 a string of official celebrations took place on the occasion of the 500th anniversary of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Murovanka. There are artifacts that indicate the existence of a worship building at this place in a much earlier period. In recent years, a lot has been done to preserve the unique shrine of Belarus: emergency trees have been removed, the laying of an authentic stone fence according to an approved project is being completed, the process of repairing and restoring the temple from the outside has been completed, the territory around the church is constantly being improved, the restoration process inside is being prepared. In 2014 and in October 2024, UNESCO specialists visited the temple, expressing their thoughts and wishes about the preservation of the unique architectural monument. The temple in Murovanka is on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative list. In the autumn of 2024, the official cancellation ceremony of the postage stamp with the image of the temple in Murovanka took place.

Интересное местечко, уютное. Внутри нас встретила приятная женщина, которая рассказала про процесс восстановления церкви, про чудотворную икону. Присутствую старые иконы, очень интересные и небольшая экспозиция музейная. Какая именно не расскажу, сами увидите) Разрешила подняться по винтовой лестнице на звоницу. Лестницы обычно винтовые неочень удобны для подъема, но здесь было комфортно подниматься на башню. По ходу движения в стенах можно найти кирпичи пальчатку с отпечатками травы или пальцев:) Вид с башни симпатичный. Поднимаясь на самый верхний ярус можно случайно позвонить в колокол. Голуби придают месту атмосферность, как старожилы, вечные охранники:) В жару советую подниматься вверх, природный кондиционер обеспечен👍 P.S. Девушки, женщины, если не возьмете с собой платок на голову, не беда. На входе есть головные уборы:)

Perhaps the most spiritual temple in Belarus. We came to visit by car, the priest drove away, but a woman met us, she has a house in the village, opened a temple for us, told us everything and showed us, it feels like the community loves its temple very much, at the expense of the community, consisting mainly of pensioners, they are trying to revive the historical stone fence. In the temple, they were allowed to look at the Murovanka from the turret. I was amazed that the temple has its own T-shirts, mugs and even a 3D puzzle, a very modern approach, nice to see. The temple has a website where you can conveniently support the parish online. We advise you to come, you will not regret it, people really do everything with love🫶🏻

It has four towers with loopholes. Very friendly people in the church. The church is being restored gradually. If you are lucky, you will be allowed to climb the steep stairs to the bell tower, which offers a beautiful view of Murovanka and the surrounding area.

It is one of the few examples of defense-type churches, which is why it already deserves respect. Also, sometimes it is possible to climb into the tower, the spiral staircase is not very convenient for climbing, but it is also of a defensive type) but it is worth it to climb into the tower... A very strong and emotional place. I always try to stop by if I'm somewhere in that direction. And the people there are wonderful: they are ready to open the gates at any time, to hold, to tell with pride and trepidation. And sometimes you can even climb up a narrow ladder to one of the towers. I definitely recommend it. That's a must-visit!

Место потрясающее! Батюшка в храме очень располагает, атмосфера покоя и умиротворённости. Место духа, однозначно. Красота самого храма и его величие, тоже можно оценить побывав здесь. Мощь и сила в вере и вера оберегает и защищает местное население во все времена, начиная с 16 века. Здесь можно увидеть ядро, которое прилетело в храм, и осталось здесь как реликвия и напоминания о войнах. Здесь можно поднять на башенку по узким ступенькам и позвонить в колокол. Экскурсия о которой не жалеешь, а по возможности хочется вернуться ещё! Рекомендую ❤️

This is a fortress temple. You can walk up the centuries-old steps to the bell tower. Everything is the same as hundreds of years ago. Be prepared that your leg muscles will ache for three days after lifting. You can buy merch at the stall, T-shirts, caps. The priest is very kind and told about the history of the temple and religion. Take your time, get off the road, you'll like it.

Советую всем для посещения, обязательно попадите внутрь . Нам рассказал про церковь- крепость Отец Евгений, это было интересно, познавательно и атмосферно, разрешил подняться на верх башень, что очень порадовало, огромное ему спасибо! Место не раскрученное, людей не было совсем, что огромный плюс. Пока есть такие места и такие люди как Отец Евгений, наша история будешь ,,жить,,…

Отличное малоизвестное место. Ехал из Гродно в Минск и по дороге решил заскочить туда (благо находится недалеко от трассы). Церковь относится к церквям оборонительного типа (таких в Беларуси 2. Ещё одна в Сынковичах под Слонимом). Церковь снаружи больше напоминает миниатюрный замок. По углам находятся четыре башни с бойницами. Заглянув в церковь, был приятно удивлён, когда женщина предложила заглянуть в одну из башен и подняться наверх по винтовой лестнице к колоколам. Будете проездом, обязательно загляните)))
