We booked in advance. On the eve of the planned date, they just called and confirmed the reservation. The rooms are clean, the bed linen is old, but clean and ironed. The receptionist showed and told me everything. The Wi-Fi was working fine. The toilet was clean, paper and towels were always available. You can drink tea, cook food, dishes were available, refrigerator. The only negative for me is probably the eating area in the hallway, the entrance hall. We were lucky, for the entire period of our stay, no one was shouting or fighting at night, everything was fine. The administrators helped with any questions that arose, got in touch, were not rude, did not talk loudly (as it was written earlier). If you take a room at the railway station, then you should understand that the noise from the trains will not go away, but personally I did not pay attention to it.

Pros: convenient location (five minutes walk from the railway station, within walking distance of the Brest DEPOT canteen with the opportunity to fully eat for 10-15 rubles and take with you, near the recreation park, Sovetskaya and Gogol streets with famous lanterns and even the Brest fortress). The hostel is comfortable, well renovated, you can take a shower at any time, cook (there is a kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishes and an elementary set of products. One of the disadvantages is poor-quality cleaning, although the shower and toilets are clean, with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, shampoo. The staff is attentive. You can book in advance.
