The Samarkand Artisan Center is a magical courtyard where everyone is busy doing their own thing and creating beauty. Metalworking, woodcarving, tanners, designers, artists, jewelers and a ganch craftsman who makes decorative planks, magnets and Christmas tree toys work here. All the guys are quite friendly and can show their work if asked. All these works can be bought. For craftsmen, this is an exhibition and a workshop at the same time. But you shouldn't bargain too much, because you're buying from a person who made it himself, not a seller who bought it himself from a craftsman. There are decent prices for each product.
