Excellent hotel, we stayed 2 times, convenient location, all historical sites can be reached on foot, and Istanbul is walking distance!
The rooms are warm, we visited both times in winter,
Room cleaning daily, breakfast is quite good, although the first time we had, there was a Turkish breakfast, the second one was already Swedish, but it was also quite good
The staff is very attentive.
I recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel for the first time! We chose it on the recommendation of relatives who also stayed at this hotel. We really liked everything, starting from the location of the hotel to its service. The hotel is located in a location from which all the sights are within walking distance. Galata Tower, Taksim Square, Istiklal Street, Galata Bridge, new embankment, metro. Breakfast is on the 6th floor, the view from this floor is amazing, the seagulls just eat with their hands. We definitely recommend this hotel to visit.

Nice hotel. We stayed at the end of March for 7 days. The breakfast is buffet style, the food is varied. I'm a picky eater, but I left my breakfast full every day. The room is good. Some things show that things are already old, something may even fall off, but in general it is not critical. The room is well cleaned. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a very friendly staff, who explained everything clearly and slowly. Even some information in Russian was duplicated.

The perfect location. Galata Tower is 5 minutes away, the Grand Bazaar can be reached in about forty minutes, or a short walk, then by tram and all together in 20 minutes, for those who are particularly lazy, take a taxi to the bazaar in 10 minutes with waiting. Istiklal is actually around the corner, 5 minutes.
The hotel and the Turkish-style rooms themselves are beautiful, interesting, unusual, and impressive. The rooms have a special feature - the sinks are not in the shower, but in the room itself, in the corner of the room, at first unusual, but on the second day you no longer pay attention to it. The toilet with the main room is separated by two powerful glass doors, between which there is a gap of about a centimeter))) it may be uncomfortable for someone, but you can put up with it. But you will definitely remember the breakfasts in the cafe on the top floor overlooking the strait for a very long time.
And yes, I would add that our friends, a little earlier, lived in a nearby hotel and specially went to one of the neighboring hotels with a veranda overlooking the Golden Horn for a paid breakfast, and in Dar Sultan Galata you enjoy this view every day.

She only stayed for a day. I found it by chance on an island. My recommendations, especially if you like the style of the Hurrem Sultan era. The interior and atmosphere were well maintained. I didn't appreciate the breakfast, I was asleep. The staff are young and positive guys. They help and coordinate on issues. And of course, the view is gorgeous. The video is attached

Breakfast is served on the terrace with a great view. The choice of dishes is not very diverse, but you will not stay hungry. The disadvantages are a stretch to include noisy air conditioning and car signals, since there is a road under the windows. Cleaning every day.

My husband and I were in February, the cost of the day was 90 euros, breakfast is included. The room is not large, but cozy, only the bathroom behind the glass was confused) the breakfasts are good, varied and you can choose according to your taste. The view was of the city from the hotel. The best thing about this hotel is the view from the terrace.
I didn't like the breakfasts. A mediocre and coveted set of products. In fact, you can eat a bun with butter. The coffee machine worked with varying success. If you decide to go, you definitely don't have to take breakfast)
The room is old, but I wanted to live in something colorful, so there are fewer questions about the room itself.
The service is good, even an umbrella was provided on request in the rain)
In winter, the room was cool, the heating was not very good.

The location is convenient. The entrance to the subway is 20 meters from the door. The hotel is small. The staff is very polite and friendly. Cleanly. They clean well. The mattress, pillows, and blanket are great. We slept well. Breakfast on the roof, the view is beautiful. There are some minor complaints about the operation of the air conditioner. I recommend it!

The hotel is old. Everything is beautiful in the photo, but in fact it is tired. The smell of an old place. There is no sense of cleanliness in the room itself. The only thing that pulls out is the roof terrace. The breakfast on the terrace is the most outstanding!
And a shower and toilet: it is separated from the room only by a glass partition. The audibility is impressive!))
The hotel itself is right next to the subway exit. For some it's a plus, for others it's a minus.

A very authentic hotel 1 minute from the metro and 10 minutes from Galata Bridge.
A heartfelt thank you to the staff - caring and unobtrusive. The breakfasts are wonderful - a variety of snacks for every taste on the veranda, which overlooks both the Golden Horn and the Galata Tower. Feeding the seagulls in the morning has become a small tradition.
You feel like a sultan in the room - the interior is very atmospheric.
The administrator informed us about the forgotten things when we had already returned home. He promised to keep it until he returned to Istanbul.

The location, if it suits your needs, is convenient, of course, not far from Istiklal, but on foot it may not seem "not far" to overweight people. Plumbing is not that bad, but it is like in 2000) bathrooms have not been equipped like this for a long time), these Jacuzzis are creepy)))) (I chose from three rooms), the convenience of the sink in the room can also be disputed, if you have never lived in Istanbul, came to get acquainted with the culture for the first time, love Hurrem Sultan and everything related to the history of the Ottomans, then I sincerely recommend it, you will feel the atmosphere and flavor. I stayed here for the second time from 13-07 to 08/19/2019 , at first 305, 207, 303 because of the price, great location, I do not know any other, cleanliness , the person is just the splendor itself, the only hotel is very old and has not been renovated and everything needs to be repaired and especially the bathroom and there is no mirror to see there are a lot of them, and this is for cosmetics and generally sees , the trouble with all the goodies for such an amount , it doesn't seem to be cheap, there is little light, but there is little, and especially the bathroom! The massage is good! Whom I know, I bow low to everyone - from Byushra, Ahmed, Yunis, Arif Yok, Emrah, Said, Samet, Ugur, Khalil,Chokhbilmish -Abdullah, Yusif, Serap khanim - she is just a skipper woman and another who reads every single day and if not they with muchina and Arif, then the owners have seen forever The wear and tear of such a wonderful hotel with a great staff!Maybe I didn't write someone's names, but you are in my heart and mind - thank you, you have done me a lot of good and very much, and if it weren't for the wear and tear and stinginess of the head of the hotel, I could have stayed! You can stay in this condition for 5-6 days)) It's a pity there is no system for how to make a discount in the Russian Federation- although then they did it to me, to their regular customers!Very beautiful location and view, as I have already written- though not from all rooms!
