Save yourselves from the worst malpractice possible in an optician. I’ve been seeing opticians for 50 years and never before had a complaint. I went to seek help from the ‘dry eye’ clinic because I suspected my blurriness was caused by dry eyes. This optician suggested numerous expensive tests and prescribed expensive glasses (pushing aggressively to the most expensive frames) and expensive dry eye treatments. I asked if I might have a cataract given my age and she said no. The glasses never helped me so I went to 2 ophthalmologists who both confirmed I had cataract in my right eye. Surgery fixed this and I can see! They refused to take back the expensive glasses that never helped me at all, left me disoriented. They claimed after the fact their tests couldn’t detect cataract though they had ruled that out. My ophthalmologist said I didn’t have bad dry eyes or she wouldn’t have been able to examine me- but David Faulder pushed dry eye plugs that I would need quarterly for hundreds of £! When I refused they were angry. I wasted £1330. David Faulder should be closed down by the medical system.
