As for me, such sculptures look much better than the "worship crosses" that are now being erected near almost any settlement. After all, the statue of the one (or the one) whom the city considers its patron saint is also a reference to local history, local traditions, and something authentic, very difficult to articulate, but no less important. And the cross of worship in many places looks like some kind of strange and inappropriate tribute to modern "fashion" and, like everything "fashionable", hardly stands out from the usual roadside landscape. Of course, it's not for us to judge how much the Mother of God protects a particular city of Zhodino and its inhabitants more than all other cities and citizens of planet Earth, but when you see this statue, you switch at least briefly from the hustle of daily thoughts to something eternal. The surrounding area is cleaned and kept clean. There is a small parking lot nearby. However, the statue itself is a novelty (installed in 2021) and does not represent any historical value as an architectural object, so there is no special point in staying nearby. However, if you care not only about antiquity as a number of centuries, but also about the most difficult thing to articulate, slow down for five minutes as you drive past. Stop and pray. It won't be superfluous.
