When I met this sculpture, deciding to take a picture with it, I still did not know that its appearance was a response to the tragic events of May 30, 1999 in the passage of the Nemiga metro station. That day, due to heavy rain and panic, a stampede began, in which 53 people died, most of them young girls. I read this information later. It is a pity that there is no such information next to the sculpture itself. People would look at her with completely different eyes. The sculpture is very well executed, in my opinion, the details are worked out. And the girl herself, on a windy and cool September day, barefoot, in a short dress fluttering in the wind, under an umbrella that did not protect her from the rain, looked somehow very touching and defenseless.

The best sculpture, in my opinion, is in Mikhailovsky Square. A lovely maturing girl at the end of her pure childhood. Just a little more and she will become a real teenager with all the worries, worries and teenage problems that follow from this. In the meantime, the beautiful, already girlish eyes are wide open and happiness and joy are all around in any weather! Amazing solar sculpture!
