A very beautiful and spiritual place, the Saffron Monastery was founded in 493 on the site of the ancient Temple of the Sun. Stunning views and ancient walls! The tour is included in the price of the entrance ticket, as of January 2026, the ticket price is 150 lira per person. There are cafes and souvenir shops at the entrance, including a wine shop.

We visited a well-renovated monastery in November 2024, with a beautiful courtyard filled with century-old olive trees. Our group was led into the crypt, but without knowing Turkish, you won't be able to understand much.

A small part of the monastery is open to the public. The tour is conducted in Turkish. In the monastery shop, along with the usual souvenirs, they sell wine of their own production. Entrance ticket 100 liras (November 2024)
