This is a crime, not logistics — my experience with DHL I am deeply outraged and disappointed by the work of DHL. Dispatch No. 1633339116 is a small package with gifts: a postcard, stickers and cheap toys for a cat. The total stated cost is $ 29, souvenir, non—commercial shipment. All this was honestly stated at the DHL office in Kyrgyzstan. We specifically emphasized that this was a gift, not for sale, and paid for the shipment of 26,000 SOM (approximately $ 300!) — the price of the ticket! What is the result? The recipient in Brazil received a notification to pay 1,870 reais in taxes, which is more than $300! They are required to pay not only for the $29 cost, but also for the delivery, the second time! Is this double taxation? Why should the customer pay tax on the shipping cost that has already been paid?! The office did not give any information about this. If I had even been warned that my recipient would pay another SUCH amount, I would NEVER have sent this package. This is a deception, fraud and utter incompetence of DHL employees. You provide paid "services" without informing customers about the consequences, and as a result, people lose hundreds of times more than the content is worth. Shame. I will post this message on all possible platforms. I will also contact consumer protection. People should know that sending a cheap gift via DHL can cost as much as a vacation abroad. DHL is not an express delivery, it is a robbery.
