A decent hotel for your money! The Standard class room surprised with its large area and thoughtful, concise furnishings. There is everything you need, bathrobes, slippers with towels, bathroom accessories, a minibar, a kettle, a heater, everything is as it should be. It is clear that in some places there are minor repair flaws in the room, but it does not irritate the eye and does not affect the comfort of your stay. We rented a room with a view of Baytarek, and for good reason! Every morning began with magnificent sunrises and every evening ended with amazing sunsets, thanks to the large windows with low sills, on which you can comfortably sit even together. I was pleased with the large comfortable bed, the bed linen is high-quality and clean. Classic and standard breakfasts. Good quality and well cooked. The aromatic and really delicious coffee will appeal to connoisseurs. The staff is helpful and friendly. The administrators helped with several tasks sincerely and without arrogance. The lobby bar is very cozy, with a pleasant atmosphere and high-quality service. In general, I recommend it!

We stayed at this hotel in October 2025, the weather in Astana was pleasant, it was warm and sunny. Now to the hotel: the location is excellent, the center, beautiful locations, wonderful cafes and restaurants within walking distance, many beautiful alleys and parks for walking. Breakfast is a buffet, wonderful, varied dishes: lots of pastries, cold cuts, cheeses, porridges, salads, hot dishes and of course coffee from a coffee machine 👍 There is a currency exchange office right in the hotel, which is very convenient, with a good exchange rate. The staff is polite and helpful. The room was standard with a beautiful view from the window. The room is large, cozy and warm. But unfortunately, it is already "tired", the carpet has holes in places, individual pieces of furniture are outdated, there is also something to improve in the bathroom, in general, the room needs to be repaired, of course, that's why the rating is slightly reduced. It is located in a glass tower, occupying it entirely, while a sufficient number of elevators allows you to avoid queues for descent and ascent. A respectable hotel in the very center of Astana, we had 611 rooms with a view of Bayterek. The room is clean, there is everything you need: hygiene products, slippers, bathrobe, snow-white bed linen. Polite staff. Breakfast is included in the cost of accommodation. Very tasty coffee! But I was surprised by the certain incompetence of the reception staff. Upon check-in, they did not warn that parking was paid. In the evening, we saw the ad ourselves. They did not answer the question whether the general rule of Astana applies - on weekends and holidays all parking is free - to hotel parking. I had to pay, but questions and confusion remained. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this level!

Overall, it's very average. I arrived at the hotel at 6 a.m., the girl at the reception immediately said that there were supposedly no rooms at all, even for paid early check-in, and you can't even dream of a free one. After 5 minutes, they offered to pay for half a day, or wait until 2 p.m. I paid in cash for half a day, the change of about 700 tenge was not handed over. Those who expect free early check-in, as in Ibises, for example, are not here. Well, at least they offered to have breakfast on the day of arrival, but I arrived at closing time and was upset - the choice was very meager, there were practically no vegetables, there were almost no labels, and I also came across cold cutlets...brr. At closing time (10 a.m. local time), it is better not to come for breakfast. But on other days the breakfast was better, the coffee was good (it takes a long time to cook), sometimes even the waiters brought it themselves. In principle, breakfast, with the exception of the day of arrival, will do, you will not be hungry. The room itself is quite large in size, but tired. I didn't like the mattress, the springs were felt, as well as the lack of sockets by the bed. When the temperature dropped sharply to -10 degrees outside, the room became cold, and the panoramic windows blew strongly. There are no batteries near the windows, but there was an oil heater in the room, which had to be used for almost the entire stay. As for the sound insulation, it was generally quiet, but one day at 2 a.m. a woman moved into the next room, who, instead of going to bed, talked for a long time in the local language on the speakerphone, the audibility was tinny, apparently through the ventilation system, and the doors are quite thin and let sound through. In general, the entire building requires renovation, not only the rooms, but also the halls, peeling wallpaper is visible everywhere. It's not particularly pleasant to be in the bathroom either, it's dark, and the plaster on the ceiling is bulging in some places. And it seems like repairs are already underway. Of the advantages, I can mention, of course, the location, the reasonable room rate, and the exchange rate. The hotel is suitable for undemanding travelers, of course, it does not pull 4 stars, about 2.5.

At the Diplomat Hotel, parents celebrated their anniversary at the chic Pharab Ballroom restaurant..the view from the window is simply gorgeous..The ceiling is very bright..the cuisine is insane, even sorp was served to the non-pharmacist, which surprised our guests..The dish is exquisite, everything is made with taste...The waiters are very kind and nimble guys..The receptionist was with us from the beginning to the end, she had everything covered ..Thank you for your hard work..

It is clear that the hotel is not young, but this gives it its charm. The breakfasts were included - a very varied buffet, my family was satisfied. There is a currency exchange at the entrance, which I find very convenient. Separately, I would like to mention the Maryam administrator — a true professional in his field! She was incredibly friendly, helpful and always ready to help. Thanks to her attention and care, all issues were resolved instantly (SIM card, travel documents, delivery, etc.), I felt like a welcome guest. Overall, the atmosphere in the hotel is calm and relaxing. For your first visit to the capital of Kazakhstan, I recommend it! The hotel is within walking distance of many attractions.

In terms of price-quality ratio, the hotel is very bad, that's why: 1. Hair dryer. The hair dryer in the room looks like an old Soviet vacuum cleaner, which is not regulated and blows in an unknown direction, it is practically impossible to dry your hair quickly and in the right direction.; 2. Room quality. The room was 610, the light was very dim, it was impossible not to work or read normally. The bed is relatively good, and so are the pillows. The TV is antique, and you can't connect a laptop, phone, or Wi-Fi to it, just cable TV. The furniture is old, most likely still caught the perestroika and the collapse of the Soviet Union. The carpet in the room has probably never been cleaned. There are no available sockets in the bed. There is a mini bar, but it is a debatable pleasure. 3. Maintenance. In general, it's probably not bad, except for the fact that they threw away my pills, which cost +/- 140$, I'm glad that there were 2 pills left in the pack, but I still had to buy them individually, but already in place. Water is brought to the room one bottle at a time, if you need more, then go with your old bottle to the cooler and get water, or wait until morning. I had to collect bottles in order not to run 10 times to the cooler, the water in the cooler is not particularly tasty, but I don't have to choose. By the way, no one apologized for the pills, I left a complaint, but it seemed to be parallel to everyone. 4. The air conditioner is antique, it only works at full speed, and if you decide to turn it on, you will have to listen to the heartbreaking creak of the fan. 5. The window in the room is not adjustable, either it opens fully or it doesn't. There is a breeze from the window, there is no heating in the room, only air conditioning, so it was lucky that when I arrived it started to get warmer. 6. Among the big advantages, there is an exchange office, two excellent restaurants, more precisely, one restaurant and one cafe, both places have excellent food and service. The breakfasts are great too.

If you are eating with your family to explore the city, it is unlikely that a "Diplomat" will suit you. Although the three-year-old and I were fine: the ottoman was moved to the sofa, the table was rearranged.Due to the workload of the center, some requests were completed slowly or on the second attempt. But in general, we did not come to fight, but to enjoy the city and new experiences.
