As someone who is in love with Istanbul and works here as a photographer, I can say with confidence that the Clock Tower at Dolmabahce Palace is one of the most atmospheric places in the city.
It's not the first time I've shot here — the architecture, the play of light, the historical background and the proximity to the Bosphorus create a truly cinematic picture!
Every time I bring guests here to shoot, they are thrilled. Even an ordinary walk turns into an incredible photo shoot!

The entrance to the palace for tourists is very expensive, does not justify its cost (1,500 liras ~ a little more than 3,000₽ in April 2025), you can not take photos or videos inside, and there is not much to look at, only at the exit you can admire one hall and that's it. The tour lasts a maximum of 25 minutes. The palaces of Peterhof, the Hermitage, Tsarskoye Selo, etc. were nowhere near!

A magnificent palace! Chandeliers, crystal stairs! You need to put in at least 4 hours to walk around the palace calmly, listening to the audio guide. By the way, don't forget to take it at the entrance in front of the gate. They don't talk about it at the checkout. A document / license or passport is taken as collateral.

An amazing place! I strongly advise you to spend time and money on exploring this attraction! The buildings and the surrounding area are in excellent condition, there are signs everywhere, several toilets, several cafes on the territory. When buying an entrance ticket, a free audio guide is provided, it is in Russian, it is very interesting to listen. Everything is thought out, good transport accessibility. I spent 4 hours there with great pleasure!

At the cash desks, you can pay with cards (not the Russian Federation) and cash. We haven't seen any exchangers nearby! There is Wi-Fi on the territory, you can't shoot inside, but if you really want to, then you can do it under cover! Free audio guide, after the turnstile on the right. There are a lot of benches in front of the entrance to take a break! The entrance on 03.10.2023 cost 650 TL.
