As someone who is in love with Istanbul and works here as a photographer, I can say with confidence that the Clock Tower at Dolmabahce Palace is one of the most atmospheric places in the city.
It's not the first time I've shot here — the architecture, the play of light, the historical background and the proximity to the Bosphorus create a truly cinematic picture!
Every time I bring guests here to shoot, they are thrilled. Even an ordinary walk turns into an incredible photo shoot!

This is not only an architectural element, but also a real historical landmark. Its elegant facade with details and the majestic clock mechanism, which continues to work, add a special charm to the entire complex of the palace. It is worth paying attention to the beautiful area around, where you can take great pictures while enjoying the views of the Bosphorus. The atmosphere here is peaceful and even a little mystical, especially in the evening, when the tower is illuminated and creates the feeling of a fairy tale.

Externally, the Dolmabahce Palace is beautiful, inside it is expensive and rich, most of all the chandeliers and glass floor candelabra were impressed and admired. Excellent art gallery with paintings by Aivazovsky. It's a pity that you can't film anywhere inside.

You definitely need to get to Dolmabahce! The tower, the palace, and the mosque nearby are all worthy of attention. The tower resembles our bell towers, but it is a sentry. There are baccarat crystal chandeliers in the palace of breathtaking beauty.

The tower itself is impressive. But the castle makes an impression, it's very beautiful, there are a lot of household items, everything is in excellent condition. They are not allowed to shoot in the castle, but sometimes it works secretly)))

It's very beautiful, just like the palace itself. The first time I came, I just walked around the "free" area and saw the tower at the entrance. But I still recommend a visit with the palace.

The entrance to the palace for tourists is very expensive, does not justify its cost (1,500 liras ~ a little more than 3,000₽ in April 2025), you can not take photos or videos inside, and there is not much to look at, only at the exit you can admire one hall and that's it. The tour lasts a maximum of 25 minutes. The palaces of Peterhof, the Hermitage, Tsarskoye Selo, etc. were nowhere near!
Sorry for the money spent

A magnificent palace! Chandeliers, crystal stairs! You need to put in at least 4 hours to walk around the palace calmly, listening to the audio guide. By the way, don't forget to take it at the entrance in front of the gate. They don't talk about it at the checkout. A document / license or passport is taken as collateral.
Take a walk in the garden, turn gray in a cafe and enjoy the atmosphere, live the emotions of what you saw.

It is possible to enter the clock tower and clock tower cafe located at the first entrance without a ticket, it can only be entered through security and seen, the cafe can be used.
May May 2025; domestic full 200tl, student 100tl, foreign 2200tl-very expensive), entrance to the museum is free (the greeting section also requires a fee), direct entry is possible without stopping at the ticket office, those who do not have a museum card buy tickets from the box office (in May 2025, domestic full 200tl, student 100tl, foreigner 2200tl-very expensive)
There are 4 adat cafes in the campus, each of them is beautiful, it was a very nice idea, the prices are at an average level.
I think those who are going to visit Istanbul should definitely see

Everything is inadequately expensive, and there's not much to see. The Hermitage is more interesting and more for 900r, not for 5k. The Turks would like to reconsider their pricing policy, otherwise tourists will not go to their museums, in my company 9 people from St. Petersburg abandoned this idea.

The tower simply attracts with its view, it is located up to the ticket offices surrounded by a small park where you can hide from the sun on a hot day. And if, for some reason, you are wondering whether it is worth going further to inspect the palace, the chapel should finally dissuade you, because it is 1/100 of the beauty that awaits you ahead!
