We live in the city of Mogilev. We recently learned that the House - Museum of the famous actor - countryman Pyotr Martynovich Aleynikov is located near the city. Of course, we went to see it right away. This House Museum is a branch of the Cultural Institution "Shklovsky Regional Museum of Local Lore". The head of the museum lives right in the same village of Krivel. We had previously agreed to visit by phone. But, of course, information about the House Museum can also be obtained by calling the Shklovsky Regional Museum of Local Lore. The ticket price for the 1st person on 06/19/2025 was 4 Belarusian rubles. We had the required amount with us in cash, but we didn't know about paying with a bank card, etc. We didn't specify. But! There are definitely no shops in the village and you won't be able to change the money. Moreover, there is no ATM. So it's better to have the exact amount of money in cash with you. By the way, however, we saw a car dealership stop by the village, so other visitors might be lucky to meet it. On the spot (in the village of Krivel) It turned out that the manager, as a local resident, knows Pyotr Aleynikov's relatives well, and can tell and show a lot. Of course, he knows a lot about the artist's work and about his visits to the village of Krivel already at the time when Aleynikov became a famous artist. The museum is small, of course, but it becomes quite clear how P.M. Aleynikov lived here. Let's especially note the beauty of the surrounding nature! The village has already turned from a large one, which it was in 1914 (at the time of Peter Aleynikov's birth), into a small one. The road to the museum is not very good, but we even rode a motorcycle during the rain. The House Museum is located on the right side of Krivelskaya Street and does not have its own room. About 20 meters from the Museum House, on the left side of the street, there is a signpost "3 kilometers from the highway" - you can use it to navigate. And if you look on the right side, then the House Museum is located just behind house 59. However, the numbering of houses in the village may change, as the population and their dwellings are decreasing. From Krivel, you can use approximately the same road (through fields and forests) to get directly along the Dnieper River to Shklov - this way the path is much shorter than returning to the Odessa - St. Petersburg highway. And in Shklov there is a magnificent monument to P. M. Aleynikov near the bus station. We recommend you to visit too! We enjoyed the trip and the visit to the Museum House. Before that, we watched movies, read biographical information about P.M. Aleynikov and already knew exactly where we were going. Perhaps we will come to these places later to explore the natural landscapes, because on 06/19/2025 the rains prevented us from doing this fully. We recommend you to visit!
