I will add to this: I recently chose a kitchen faucet, remembered the price of the model I liked, the sellers said that tomorrow there would be a "santeh boom" and discounts on plumbing. I came the next day, and there the price is also the same, but allegedly with a discount, and allegedly the "old price" is indicated by exactly the discount amount and crossed out. I don't remove the asterisks for this, just be careful and don't expect everyone to be honest.
