I went to a small local diner in Istanbul and didn't regret it. The doner was cooked right in front of me: the meat on the spit looked delicious, with a golden crust. The portion is huge: lots of tender beef, fresh vegetables, crispy onions and a signature sauce with a slight spiciness. Lavash is simply a masterpiece: soft, but with a slight toasting at the edges. I was particularly pleased with the service: the waiter smilingly advised me on how best to eat in order to experience all the tastes. The price is more than adequate for such quality. A solid five!
