A holy and historical place! The history of the Temple is really amazing and significant for the Orthodox! And realizing that Kings and Queens prayed in this Temple, it is generally significant! After all, They were sent to us by God Himself! According to legend, the wooden church of St. Elijah the Prophet was built around 1460 at the behest of King and Grand Duke Casimir IV in memory of the rescue of his wife Elizabeth, who almost drowned.
And in 1706, the Russian Tsar Peter I prayed in the temple, granting victory to the Russian Army against the Swedes.
