A solid, branded hotel. Every detail is thought out, starting from the quality of the bedding and ending with the coffee machine in the room. Powerful water pressure, high-quality hygiene products, everything is good and decent, the staff is friendly and very polite, once again they do not bother, a very good spa area, swimming pool and steam room. Towels and bedding smell of sterility and frequency, of course, I would like this level to be in all places where services are provided in our country.

This is a very cozy hotel, it's not the first time I've stayed here, always quick check-in and courteous staff. The rooms are neat, clean, newly renovated. Fast wi-fi, plasma TV with access to YouTube. A full bathroom and shower, dental chips, paste and shower cap, gel, conditioner, shampoo and body cream. There is a hairdryer, bathrobe, iron and ironing board, safe, small refrigerator - everything in the room. Teapot and tea set - tea, sugar and two 0.5 bottles of water as a gift. The bed linen and towels are snow-white and unwashed. There is no mini bar. All rooms have central air conditioning. The breakfast is varied, there are always vegetables and seasonal fruits, fresh pastries, and freshly squeezed juice. You can also have dinner at the restaurant. Opposite the hotel, behind the circus, there is a large park, a 5-minute walk from an excellent cafe - Zheti Tandoor - very tasty and pleasant for the price, a 20-minute walk from the shopping center - Shymkent Plaza. The airport is 30 minutes away. The hotel has an excellent SPA area - there is a swimming pool, a Finnish sauna and a Jacuzzi.

We took a suite without breakfast. Cleaning, like everywhere else in Uzbekistan, is lame. It is located near Abaya Park, which is abandoned and makes a sad impression, around the private sector they burn garbage in the evening or drown (in mid-September) there is nothing to breathe smoke. The hotel has a small pool, it's fine for two or four people, it won't fit anymore. The small sauna is always heated👌And most importantly, the huge bed, pillows, mattress, everything is perfect. Amazing bed linen.

A double impression)) it seems like good service and the guys are trying their best, the rooms are clean..when asked if there are rooms where there is a shower instead of a bathtub, the answer is no, of course it's cool, but I really wanted to get an alternative; for breakfast there is a cook who will order scrambled eggs or something like that..But the choice of dishes is generally sad and the breakfast room is not cozy, there is not enough space.

I came to Shymkent for the first time for work. The room is clean, cleaning, changing towels, etc. If something is needed, they respond quickly to the request. Then they call from the reception and find out if everything is okay? Am I satisfied? It's nice). In the morning at breakfast, when I poured coffee from the machine, I spilled and dripped coffee from the cup. An administrator named Darkhan came up and offered to replace the coffee. In the end, they made me fresh coffee and brought it to me themselves. (buffet breakfast, self-service). It's a little thing, but it was really nice. Thanks to the DoubleTree team. I still have good impressions. The staff is polite and generally liked Shymkent.

I stayed in December 2024, when it was winter outside. At the same time, the heating in the hotel (5th floor) was working in such a way that it seems to me they were trying to remind me how hot and stuffy it is in Shymkent in the summer! On the floor, in the room itself, there is nothing to breathe, it is very hot! The heating in the room was turned on at full, scalding hot air was coming from the air conditioning system. I turned off the heating and opened the window and did not close it once during the two days of my stay, but the room did not feel comfortable. It was impossible to sleep in such a stuffy place. Plus, the noise of the street from the open window prevented, but to close the window is to suffocate in general. They apologized at the reception, but said that apart from turning off the heating and opening the window, there was no way to fix the situation (this does not help). During my several stays at this hotel, when it was still Canvas, I did not notice this.. Another disadvantage is that there are no refrigerators in the rooms. More precisely, there are empty mini-bars, but they do not work for cooling. These significant shortcomings for me influenced the assessment. The rest is just like in a regular Double Tree, including cookies)).

Great hotel. Opposite Abaya Park and circus, tennis courts nearby. The city center is a 10-minute walk away. The service is excellent. The rooms are spacious. But the bed is a bit soft for me (subjective opinion). The breakfasts are good and varied. The hotel has a swimming pool, which was very cool at 35 degrees. The cleanliness of the hotel and the rooms is excellent. And the price is very reasonable. If it's Shymkent, then I'm back here!

A global Chain hotel in Shymkent. It seems to be in the center and it is convenient to get to the bazaar and the center. Everything is on the level. You will say that it is not so that there are only 3 stars. The reception is constantly empty and no one greets the guests. The feeling that I came to an ordinary courtyard for $ 5 per night. And here the price tag starts at $60 per night. I'm shooting a star for this. That there is no appropriate atmosphere. There is a peculiar smell in the corridor of the hotel, not pleasant. Also, a small spider was already inhabited in the bed room)) for this, I also take off a star. It's not critical, but it shouldn't be like that. I also recommend updating the phones in the rooms so that you can call the reception. A critically quiet voice that you can't hear anything at all.

I regret to write this review, because I still can't give it 4 stars, but I really wanted to. This hotel could easily have claimed more, if not for the poor quality of the management team. How else can you explain the lack of staff at the reception in the recreation center? As well as the lack of order in its premises? The photo of the pool on the website does not correspond to reality (it has never been swimming, in case someone suddenly thought; just a large bathtub). How to explain a very modest (by the standards of hotels of this level) breakfast? Send the chef to study at Ibis (Almaty). I mistakenly thought that I would end up in a hotel of the Novotel or Holiday Inn level... so even the Ibis, I must admit, will be cooler in the end. Because a good hotel is not only about high-quality finishing materials, like here… A good hotel is a deeply meaningful service philosophy. And that's exactly what was missing here... alas.

We often visit this "nice" hotel. The price is 5 stars, and everything else is a maximum of 3. I have never written a review, but today it boiled over! No service, no lack of it. The staff is not qualified for the hotel level. We checked into a room with a child, which was smoky. The bathroom floor is dusty. And the cherry on the cake is the administrator Zhansaya, who introduced herself as the main one, who is absolutely not competent in solving issues with regular customers and priority club members. One of the disadvantages is the cramped rooms. I stayed in May 2023, the room was quite small, plus I also came across a room in the corner of the building, so it was also dark.
